Butterflies and snakes and leopard spots, oh my! Dua Lipa took her eclectic love of clashing patterns to new heights this weekend, courtesy of a zooβs worth of mixed prints. True to form, the starβs look also embraced her longstanding love of vintage designβwith a distinctly 2000βs twist.
While opening a pop-up at Selfridgeβs in London for her DUA by AB skincare range, Lipa stepped out in a swirling dress by Kim Shui. Hailing from Shuiβs spring 2026 collection, the short-sleeved style prominently featured a high qi pao collar and a swishing calf-length hem. A plunging keyhole neckline and thigh-high slit added a sultry finish to the piece. Its most notable statement came from a green, yellow, and blue floral pattern across the bodice, spliced by a deep blue butterfly wing print on its skirt.

However, this was just the start of Lipaβs wild style statement. She paired the swirling piece with a Jacquemus clutch covered in a spotted leopardβone of her go-to printsβtrimmed in frothy striped feathers. A diamond and rose gold Bulgari Serpenti cuff and matching drop earrings furthered her ensembleβs dynamic combination of animal patterns.
Lipa finished her outfit with a set of olive green Dior boots with a reptilian alligator texture, hailing from Diorβs fall 2000 collection. Originally designed by John Galliano, the vintage style included lace-up shafts, thin heels, and sharply pointed toes. Gleaming gold metal βCDβ hardware atop each shoe gave the pair an ornate finish, while providing an edgy complement to the green and blue hues of Lipaβs dress.

With a wide-ranging combination of animal patterns, Lipaβs outfit had a distinct jungle theme. The combination proved effective from each pieceβs individual texture, which varied from flat prints to accents and embossments. That mix brought a sense of dimension to her attire, creating multiple points of focus that were maximalist and eclectic. It also emphasized her penchant for pattern mixingβa technique sheβs sported for years across her off-duty and red carpet looks.
Lipaβs zoo-worthy attire also affirmed her longstanding love of vintageβand how easily she can integrate past styles alongside new designs. The starβs previous ventures in decades-old dressing have run the gamut a β90s Versace wedding dress to archival pieces by Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, and more. Her latest look proved the singer will always be one to stand out from the crowdβespecially with a burst of unexpected play.

Between saltwater swims, jungle hikes, and balmy dinners that begin at golden hour and end well after dark, Costa Rica is a place where makeup immediately showsβwhether it adapts or disappears. On a recent trip to Central America, I packed just one base product: the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation, a formula designed to flex with heat, humidity, and movement rather than sit heavily on the skin. Was it risky to pack a foundation I had never tried before? Absolutely. But the beauty tester in me couldnβt resist finding out if one formula could actually hold up.
The Triclone Skin Tech Foundation is a skincare-meets-makeup formula that promises breathable, buildable coverage that actually adapts to your skin versus masking it. The product is packed with over 20 skin-friendly ingredients, including a fermented arnica complex that helps calm redness and protects against environmental stressors (which is perfect for me, since I struggle with mild rosacea along the center part of my face). The texture is lightweight and serum-like, so itβs meant to layer easily from a sheer, everyday finish to a more polished look without creasing or settling into fine lines. And with a wide shade range designed to flatter a spectrum of skin tones (51, to be exact), itβs made to feel inclusive and effortlessβexactly what you want when youβre packing light and hoping one foundation can really do it all on vacation.
During my trip, I wore the foundation three completely different ways: spot concealing for the beach, sheered out for daytime exploring and hikes, then built up for sunset dinners. Somehow, it stayed smooth, flexible, and crease-free in every setting. What surprised me most was how cooperative the formula wasβno matter how I applied it, it layered seamlessly with everything else in my routine. It sat well over SPF, didnβt pill when tapped on with concealer, and played nicely with cream bronzers and blushes without breaking apart underneath. As for the finish, it landed in that perfect sweet spot: skinlike and softly radiant, never flat or greasy, even in humidity.
How I applied the product depended entirely on my dayβs activities, and thatβs what made the foundation such a standout. For the beach, I skipped an all-over base and used my fingers to tap it only where I needed coverageβaround redness, a few dark spots, and uneven areas. It blended nicely into bare skin and stayed put without looking obvious or heavy.
For daytime exploring and hikes, I sheered it out by applying a few drops to the center of my face with a damp makeup sponge, pressing and bouncing it outward for a lightweight, even finish. At night, I switched to a larger foundation buffing brush, layering thin coats where I wanted more coverage and lightly buffing for a smooth, polished look. No matter the toolβbrush, sponge, or fingersβit blended seamlessly, never streaked, and built beautifully without caking, making it easy to tailor the finish from barely there to nighttime-ready in seconds.
In a climate that doesnβt forgive heavy formulas or weak wear time, this foundation proved it could handle real heat, humidity, and movement without looking heavy at all.

As Kaia Gerberβs proven on multiple occasions, sleekly minimalist fashion can fit a wide array of dress codes and events. Her latest, courtesy of AlaΓ―a, added a sharp edge to her darker style streak, bringing it an additional dimension.
In Paris, Gerber stepped out for the Snap Inc-sponsored luanch of artist JRβs takeover of the Pont Neuf bridge, stepped out in an ensemble featuring a draped brown jersey skirt and strapless black leather bodice. The pieceβs bustier-style top included a row of small, paneled cutouts down its center, bringing the design a sultry touch.

For an effortless complement, Gerberβs sleek attire was paired with a tousled hairstyle and french-tipped pedicure. Her look was complete with a muted rose-pink lip colorβan evergreen shade thatβs grown popular through recent launches by Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass Cosmetics, bareMinerals, Bobbi Brown, and more.
Gerber finished her ensemble by slipping on a pair of black leather open-toed mules. The style added a streamlined, barely-there base for her outfit from their stiletto heels and thin, subtly curved straps. While matching her outfitβs darker tones, the style was also one that Gerberβs worn before. Earlier this spring, the star stepped out in a similar pair of heels while promoting her upcoming role in FXβs The Shards during the Disney Upfronts in New York City, as well.

With its mixed textures and nonchalantly slick cutouts, Gerberβs AlaΓ―a look brought a new addition to her recent fashion repertoire. This year, sheβs embraced a darker neutral color palette across an assortment of lacy dresses and crop top sets on the red carpet, hailing from labels including Givenchy and Jacquemus. While off-duty, hints of classic white and blue denim have still shown that Gerber can embrace her carefree California roots, as wellβan aesthetic thatβs also signature to her supermodel mom Cindy Crawford. As The Shards premiere approaches this fall, Gerberβs sure to have plenty of darkly chic looks in store for the red carpet. How and if they add to her current range, however, remains to be seen.
