Just outside of Venice in the former industrial port of Marghera, Golden Goose once again transformed its creative headquarters into one of Biennale week’s more unexpected destinations. This year, for the third installment of Haus—Golden Goose’s ongoing cultural platform dedicated to art, craft, and community—the brand handed the keys over to Los Angeles creative studio Playlab, Inc., whose founders Archie Lee Coates IV and Jeff Franklin are best known for building immersive worlds that sit somewhere between installation, fashion spectacle, and childhood fantasy.

Over the past two decades, Playlab has been shaping unforgettable visual moments in fashion and pop culture. The duo worked closely with Virgil Abloh for years, crafting some of his most ambitious runway sets for Louis Vuitton along with multidiscplinary projects, installations and campaigns for the likes of Marc Jacobs and Nike. Their work often feels playful, surreal, and slightly absurd—think: oversized inflatable objects, hidden jokes, and cartoonish color palettes filtered through a distinctly emotional lens. That sensibility made them a natural fit for Golden Goose, which collaborated with Abloh and Off-White back in 2016 on one of the designer’s earliest sneaker partnerships.

This year’s Haus installation, titled The Forest For The Trees, transformed the massive warehouse space into an interactive storybook inspired, in part, by the hand-drawn animation of Disney’s Bambi (1942). Guests began by tossing a leaf into water before wandering through a sequence of theatrical environments: painting miniature wooden trees, walking through sensory tunnels of woodland sounds and light projections, and eventually arriving inside a sprawling handcrafted forest built by Italian artisans. The evening concluded with a vegan dinner in which hors d’oeuvres—cheese bon bons, crispy edible leaves, and a “basket” of asparagus dip—were “planted” within seemingly endless moss-covered tablescapes, only furthering the interactive affair.

Speaking to press before the night unfolded, Golden Goose CEO Silvio Campara explained that he considers himself the “Chief Emotion Officer”, noting that, in an era increasingly shaped by the neverending, impersonal scroll of digital consumption, the most successful luxury brands must offer something tactile and human in order to thrive. “It isn’t about the brand,” he explained, emphasizing the importance of experiences and collaboration over just product. “People need to feel something.”

A swanky Chanel party in New York City might be the last place you’d expect to see the Knicks game displayed on giant television screens. But on Monday, June 8, the 19th annual Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner happened to take place on the same evening the NBA team was playing Game 3 in the championship series. Since their historic winning streak has united New Yorkers in ways unprecedented, the French label decided to lean all the way into Knicks mania.

Ayo Edebiri, Alex Consani, Teyana Taylor, Keke Palmer, Sarah Pidgeon, Tribeca Festival founders Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, Paloma Elsesser, and many more stars attended the event, which celebrates artists who have donated original works to the winning filmmakers at the festival (participants like Carrie Mae Weems and Hank Willis Thomas were also in attendance). It was a glorious mix of worlds: amid all the fresh-off-the-runway fashion and candlelit clusters of pink peonies lining the tables at the Tribeca Grill were orange and blue (instead of classic black and white) cookies that waiters passed around on silver trays. The napkins were embroidered with orange and blue double C’s, and Knicks caps were also on offer.

“I’m quite disappointed they didn’t ask me to be on the team this year,” Consani said to W, noting to New York Knicks coach Mike Brown that she is available and “six-foot-four, right now. But I’m a fan, I’ve definitely watched games on set.”

Those TVs, by the way, weren’t just for showing the match—Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper, Spike Lee, and more sent video messages to Jane Rosenthal, congratulating her on 25 years of heading up the Tribeca Festival. “Jane and I have worked together closely for 37 years,” De Niro said in a speech during the meal. “We tease that she’s my work wife, except there’s no messy prenup.”

Sofia Coppola, Grace Gummer, Christy Turlington, and Cole Escola circled the room in Matthieu Blazy’s coveted takes on the house’s tweed skirt suits and little black dresses. Molly Gordon wore an oversized leather Knicks jacket to show her team spirit while Palmer arrived in a playful beaded dog-print set from Blazy’s debut Métiers d'art collection featuring the face of his own dog in the mix. “Who doesn’t love dogs?” Palmer asked gleefully.

For her part, Teyana Taylor actually had tickets to the game and jetted straight to Madison Square Garden after a quick bite at the dinner party. Her fellow Harlem native, A$AP Rocky, recently told reporters he wasn’t just a Knicks fan, he himself was a Knick. Did Taylor agree? “Yes! When you’re a New Yorker, how we speak about us being New Yorkers, it’s always gonna be cocky. And we don’t regret it!”

Of course, it wouldn’t be a party without some Polaroids. Here, an exclusive set by photographer Emma Beiles Howie.

Beyoncé has returned to the Met Gala for the first time in 10 years, and boy, did she make the wait worth it. The co-chair arrived fashionably late to the event on Monday night, not only with her husband, Jay-Z, in tow, but also with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, by her side.

And while, for the most part, the 2026 Met Gala red carpet lacked the drama one would expect to come from a “Costume Art” theme, Beyoncé made sure to bring it tenfold thanks to Olivier Rousteing. The singer attended in a jewel-encrusted dress mimicking a skeleton, depicting her collarbone, spine, hands, and hips, before continuing down her legs in a column skirt. On top, a coat of gray ombré feathers trailed many feet behind her, necessitating a team of attendants to help her walk the stairs. A spike cap, covered in more crystals, and Chopard jewelry completed this over-the-top ensemble.

Gilbert Flores/Variety/Getty Images

On the red carpet, Beyoncé spoke about her decision to work with Rousteing on the design, describing the former Balmain designer as “someone who has been so loyal to me.” She said the look is about “celebrating him” as well as all the “juicy, curvy, thin, tall” bodies. “Whatever God gave you.”

And if Beyoncé brought the theatrics, it was up to Blue to bring the chic glamour. The 14-year-old opted for a much more toned-down ensemble for her Met debut, wearing a white Balenciaga dress with a bubble hem that picked up at the front to reveal crystal-covered Jimmy Choo heels finished off with quartz. A matching cropped puffer and sunglasses upped the cool factor. Jay-Z, smartly, let the women in his life shine, and wore a simple black Louis Vuitton tux with tails and a double-breasted vest, topped with a Briony Raymond brooch.

Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

Now, it is pretty surprising that Blue is on the Met Gala red carpet, as the event famously is limited to those 18 and up. Of course, if the Met is going to make an exception, it would be for Beyoncé’s offspring. Though likely Blue will just walk the steps and then head home for the night, as her parents go on inside to enjoy the festivities.

Theo Wargo/FilmMagic/Getty Images

The last time Beyoncé attended the Met Gala was back in 2016 for the “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” themed event. She wore a latex dress by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, a designer and brand she’d worked with for five straight Met appearances. And while she opted to go in a different direction for the 2026 iteration, this look does have shades of the black and purple look Tisci designed for the singer back in 2012. Clearly, Beyoncé loves jewels and she loves feathers, and we can’t blame her.

Kacey Musgraves has returned. It’s been thirteen years since her debut album, and nearly a decade since she broke out of Nashville and into the mainstream with her 2018 masterpiece Golden Hour. In that time, the singer has dissolved the boundaries of traditional country music, taking listeners on a journey tinged with pop, folk, disco, Americana, and psychedelic rock. Each new sonic evolution has brought its own changes to her personal style, too.

“There are a lot of different sides to me,” Musgraves says. “Ultimately, I always try to lean into what feels the most comfortable and authentic for the time period that I’m in.”

But if it wasn’t clear by the pedal steel guitars, duets with Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert, and the rhinestones, denim, and Texas-sized belt buckles she’s been seen sporting at her shows, Musgraves’ latest album, Middle of Nowhere, is a love letter to home.

To usher in this new era, the singer has teamed with Depop to release several Shop Drops featuring items from her personal wardrobe (think: the Akimbo camouflage hoodie from her “Dry Spell” music video, Bode beaded Western slacks, fringe Mother jeans, and a red Serratelli cowboy hat). Proceeds from the purchases will be donated to the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, which advocates for unaccompanied migrant children in their legal proceedings.

Ahead of the latest drop, out today at 3 PM EST, W caught up with Musgraves to talk about her alt-country style, her fashion icons, and her vintage shopping finds.

How did you choose the items included in this Depop collaboration?

It’s made up of personal pieces from my own closet—from music videos, shows, and appearances over the last couple of years. It’s hard for me to let go of stuff sometimes, because each piece holds a memory for me, but I love the thought of passing it along to someone else, so they can have their own memories in it.

How did you land on the Young Center for the donations?

I just think they’re doing incredible work. I’m a big fan of what they’re out there doing, so I was adamant that this is the organization I wanted to support.

Your album dips into several different genres, including Tejano and Norteño. How did your time in Mexico seep into the fabric of Middle of Nowhere?

It’s been inspiring to spend a lot of my time there, and naturally, I’m very inspired by my surroundings. Through osmosis, a lot of those sounds wove their way into the record, but I’ve always been such a fan of Norteño and Tejano music. It’s been a fun to explore, and get to see firsthand the beautiful vaquero culture, and how it’s made its way into Texas.

How would you describe your sense of style for the Middle of Nowhere era?

Western fashion is familiar to me, because I grew up wearing it, and singing Western country and Western traditional songs since I was about eight years old. That style has always felt like home to me, and it’s fun to bring it into the modern day—play with it a little bit, and mix it up.

You have a song called “Everybody Wants to Be a Cowboy.” What’s your reaction to the most recent resurgence of Western fashion we’ve been seeing lately?

Western fashion has had such a moment over the last several years in pop culture. There was definitely a time when I felt super uncool wearing it myself, you know. Like, when I was in eighth grade and everybody else was wearing name brands and Adidas, I was wearing something that looked like it came out of the 1940s. But I’ve grown to appreciate that. And the truth is, Western style looks good on everybody.

With the song, I wanted to say that while I love the aesthetic, the trend will eventually pass—it’s cyclical, and it’s inevitable. But even when the trend fades, there are still people who live the true cowboy lifestyle every single day. It’s hard work, and I have a lot of respect for it.

Speaking of eighth-grade Kacey: What was your style like growing up?

It was a big mix of Western and then sometimes alternative style. There was a period of time when I wore my fringe-y, rhinestone Western pearl snaps with high-top Converse, and studded bracelets. It was definitely a huge convergence of two very different facets. And that was reflected in my musical tastes. I was always trying to find the balance, and lean into both of those sides authentically.

Do you have any holy grail secondhand finds? What are you on the lookout for when you’re vintage shopping?

I always have my eye out for a great pair of vintage Levi’s, or vintage Wranglers. I love a great pair of beat-up cowboy boots, and authentically Native-made turquoise. I’m actually standing in my closet right now—it’s just such a big mix of things. Honestly, I love a great score more than a designer find. I love getting something you’ve been truly searching for. And if it’s $10, then even better.

Every Texas woman knows the power of a good accessory to bring together an outfit. What accessory makes you feel like you’re ready to walk out the door?

I love a really good belt buckle right now, but the key is getting the foundation right. Getting the fit of your jeans just right, and then add on to that. But I also do love some big hair.

I have to say, your hair as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race is a standout fashion moment for me.

Oh my god, it was neck-breakingly big. [Laughs] But hey, there’s definitely a time and a place. I love some high camp.

Who are your style icons?

I would say Selena Quintanilla, Dolly Parton, Ralph Lauren.

Do you have any fashion regrets?

I would have to think on that one. I feel like we all made unfortunate choices in the mid 2000s.

What’s your go-to two-stepping outfit?

Oh, anything that you can move and sweat in.

Some fathers teach you how to ride a bicycle, others teach you how to pick yourself up when life throws you off of one. Both scenarios deserve to be celebrated. Father’s Day, which falls on June 21 this year, feels like a seminal moment to love the ones who have guided you—or even the ones who taught you caution and resilience in quieter ways; the fathers who have loved deeply and helped shape your children into exceptional human beings. We know and often say that appreciation comes in many forms, but sometimes luxury, usefulness, or simple thoughtfulness can speak volumes. Below are our some of our preferred gift ideas to make the dad in your life feel loved, happy, and genuinely appreciated (at every price range).

If your dad seems to already own everything—including strong opinions, excellent luggage, and at least one jacket from the ’80s that he refuses to replace—this backgammon set should be your go-to. While the game is enjoying a current comeback moment, Bottega Veneta has created the gold standard: rich olive, cream, and brown tones, finely crafted wooden cups, ceramic pieces made from Venetian clay, and a supple calf leather case that feels more heirloom than hobby.

For the cultured father who appreciates a touch of history with his gifts, this is a fragrance steeped in olfactory heritage. Gorgeous woody notes fuse with yerba mate tea, pink pepper, and bergamot. The result is one of this perfumery’s most refined scents, favored by discerning noses since 1892.

A new relaunch from Rolex sees the Datejust reimagined in the luxury watch brand’s signature green—only this time, it’s rendered in ombré form, with a brighter center that feels more dramatic, encased with a fluted bezel. The whole presentation unfolds into this handsome gradient effect toward the edge of the face that’s really cool. We predict that dad or your boyfriend will definitely drool over this fabulous gift.

This is an indulgent robe that gets everything right. Cut from beautifully soft Scottish cashmere—from the brand beloved by those with an affinity for understated luxury on both sides of the Atlantic—this gift has a relaxed-luxe feel with a clean, ribbed finish that keeps it modern.

Seriously, who doesn’t love a great game of Rummikub? Here is a lasting gift, designed for slow evenings, a few drinks, and time well spent with family and friends. Crafted with every detail in mind—in Italy, of course—the set is beautifully finished with calf leather in four different tones.

If he’s recently retired and looking for a new hobby, then look no more. This will capture the finest moments in his life—the Leica Q3 camera takes beautiful, crisp, and vibrant shots with a compact, easy-to-use design. Added bonus: the camera has an all-in-one setup and autofocus, making it easy to use without the need for extra lenses or complicated gear.

If long flights, music, and in-transit films are part of his rhythm, he will love this gift. Encased in brushed aluminum, these earbuds offer superb noise cancellation and the pinnacle of clear call quality (everything from conversations to playlists will feel uninterrupted and precise).

Leave it to ultimate cool dad Pharrell Williams to give champagne a très chic summer spin. The Louis Vuitton men’s creative director has reimagined Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial with a stripped-back limited edition new bottle crafted especially for pouring glasses of the warm-weather drink known in France as “La Piscine”—champagne served over ice.

Here’s a unique scent to up his handsome fashion game with each spritz. This fragrance is infused with cherry blossom and iris. It’s charming, grounded, and a perfect scent fit for what dads should always feel like.

A wise choice for the father of your children, this is something classic enough to outlast his current streetwear obsession (sometimes he still thinks he’s 16) and enhance his wardrobe for life. The three-tone gold works with any watch or shirt detail, making it easy to wear now. It’s the kind of piece that will still feel relevant when it’s eventually passed down to your babies.

A major gift for the discerning dad who suddenly becomes a chef the moment he steps behind the grill (and who is never happier than when he’s feeding the people he loves). Equally rugged and refined, this set comes tucked inside a handsome, foldable calfskin leather case and includes six essential tools for mastering the fire: a long spatula, carving knife, fork, brush, and tongs, all forged in stainless steel with polished Zebu horn handles.

Artfully designed but also practical—just the way your dad likes everything. This clever wine set lets you skip the endless trips to the kitchen or bar, putting everything you need for entertaining right at the coffee table so he can sit and chat with his friends. Crafted from beautiful cherrywood, it comes fully loaded with high-quality essentials, like handmade leather coasters, a chromed metal foil cutter for clean capsule removal, and a pourer leaf for smooth, drip-free helpings.

We’re obsessed with this tasteful, composed, gourmand candle that will enhance the aroma of dad’s favorite room.

If his phone is rarely out of hand (or ear), this stylish Hermès MagSafe card holder has a nice flair to it—for the busy and stylish dude in your life.

If he lives his best life on the golf course and insists on doing it in stye, this is a fab upgrade from the usual offering. Prada’s golf bag is crafted in durable Re-Nylon with Saffiano leather detailing—built to last and designed to keep him cooler than the rest of the tee sheet.

Beautifully presented in Santa Maria Novella’s signature box and ribbon (saving you at least one task before enduring Father’s Day brunch) the set includes the richly scented Tobacco Toscano Cologne, the label’s Crema de Mani lemon hand cream, and a tube of the coveted moisturizing Before & After Shave Cream.

For the foodie dad who loves a truly savory bite, this experience can create a beautiful moment for him to indulge in something exceptional, crafted with the finest fine-grain salt to elevate the rich, buttery flavor of the roe. This gift comes with two mother-of-pearl spoons make it feel extra special—and adding his initials to the box is always a thoughtful and personal touch.

Your dad will have no trouble showing these off to friends and guests, casually mentioning his very thoughtful daughter gifted them. The set of four is made of crystalline glass with beautifully smoky hues—a perfect fit for his evenings of lively conversation and plenty of toasts.

After persistent pleas from Santal 33 devotees, Le Labo has delivered a gorgeous scent that’s wonderfully foolproof in the gift department. The brand’s new hand soap and lotion set brings a subtle touch of everyday grooming luxury to his bathroom counter.

We searched high and low and can declare this the absolute finest men’s linen shirt in existence (it’ll forever be a wardrobe staple for the father of your children). The feel of the material is exceptional, with a cut that sits just right on the shoulders. Mother-of-pearl buttons, the signature mouche, and softly rounded cuffs keep this look polished, not flashy. It comes in a crisp, timeless white as well as a few understated colors.

For the guy who’s happiest on the course, this sleek (and useful) kit carries three golf balls and four tees, and clips neatly to a belt loop or golf bag.

Composed by one of the most esteemed noses in modern perfumery, Francis Kurkdjian, this is a fresher, more spiced reinterpretation of a modern classic. Built on unbleached lavender, musk, and woods, it will easily delight your father.

We’re quite taken with this timeless navy crewneck—and candidly, we fully intend to borrow it ourselves. It’s one of the most enduring Gucci men’s pieces to lend him a sense of cutting-edge taste.

The dad in your life deserves one fashion item that makes him look like James Bond—that is, significantly more pulled together than the rest of us. This silk-and-linen scarf pairs easily with jeans, is a great staple for travel, and ensures a chic insurance policy against looking rumpled.

For the dad who proudly loves prepping his own martinis, give him something he will enjoy for years to come. Beautifully encased in Baccarat’s signature red box, this elegant bar set with the signature vertical lines is both timeless and utilitarian. The set includes: a shaker, mixing glass, strainer, double jigger, and bar spoon.

This is pure 1970s-inspired chic: so sculptural, minimal, and cinematic, echoing for us the effortlessly cool moments of Alain Delon lighting up on screen. This lighter holder is an ideal gift for the dapper husband or dad who enjoys cigars or cigarettes with a certain level of panache.

No matter the kind of dad or husband, this is the pair they will reach for at the end of the day; soft, easy, and genuinely comfortable with solid foot support.

For the father who is slowly accepting that the world no longer runs on folded cash and “just in case” receipts, this sleek essential signals he’s evolving with the times (even if he still prints his e-mails).

An essential for the dad who’s always on the move, this lightweight design is a pleasure to carry and intelligently built, with features like magnetic zipper pulls, a built-in USB port, and a padded tablet pocket. Practical, refined, and crafted with Tumi quality, he’ll think of you each time he uses it.

You can’t go wrong gifting him this scent, because each inhale is so incredibly pleasing—especially the gorgeous fusion of citrus notes and the cocooning, creamy base.

We keep coming back to these because they are chic and will flatter virtually every face shape. They carry serious sophistication vibes that instantly elevate even his white T-shirt and jeans.

Here’s a modern trinket that carries an understated, Parisian kind of taste for an everyday price point. More than anything else, this phone charger, disguised as a minimalist objet, will look look super chic next to his bed or on his office desk.

Dad can wear these classic swim trunks all summer long—fishing, boating, and holding court without embarrassing you in a Speedo. A timeless staple, they pair perfectly with a crisp white T-shirt for that effortlessly put-together, by-the-sea look.

While some gifts are used once, this beautiful shaving set will become part of dad’s daily ritual. Impeccably made in the U.K., this is a timeless luxury (that comes in four different colors).

For the dad who can identify a watch from across the room (and will absolutely tell you and everyone around you about it). This is an artfully bound, boxed set that opens into two volumes tracing the most formidable moments in watchmaking history.

Intense and handsomely aromatic, the magnetic notes of Sichuan pepper, cypress, and cashmere wood create a fabulous scent dad will be sure to love all year long.

I mean, why not? This is a playful but still polished gift for the father who is equally at home donning weekend casual and sharp tailoring. We love the fun Paul Smith-signature stripes.

A cool Father’s Day upgrade for the dad who takes pride in every drive. This diffuser scent brings a subtle touch of luxury to his commute.

The health of the man you love is a priority. We adore this particular model for Father’s Day because it goes far beyond the watered-down vibration plates currently crowding the wellness market. Hypervibe delivers the proper level of G-force needed to stimulate muscles, improve circulation, and support recovery in a noticeable way.

What else can we call this but a compelling gift for a father who sees watches less as instruments and more as objects of visual language? The Audemars Piguet × Swatch collaboration lives in gesture as much as function, worn around the neck as a considered statement rather than confined to the wrist. Full of color and movement, it feels grounded in the substance and gravity of AP.

Because after years of assembling bikes, fixing Wi-Fi, and pretending your teenage phases were “just a stage,” your father has earned a proper soak. The blend here contains healing Himalayan salts, magnesium chloride, palo santo, chamomile, lavender, and citrus notes, helping to ease stiff joints, boost circulation, and clear the mental cobwebs that tend to collect while parenting.

Easy and cool, this clean-ingredient lineup was tailor-made for the no-fuss dad who has an affinity for standout scents.

This is a small luxury gift with lasting charm: monogram his initials for a leather tray that brings styled order to his desk.

If your dad carries the office with him, this beautifully crafted carryall keeps his laptop, chargers, and travel essentials impeccably organized.

This curated set of five distinct yet truly harmonious scents invites him to choose his fragrance with intention year-round.

A cult favorite among those who know their fine linens, this waffle towel set crafted in Imabari, Japan is exceptionally absorbent, yet light and comfortable. It’s the best-made towel we’ve come across in recent past, and we’ve gifted it often; many have appreciated the set, which comes with bath, hand, and face towels.

From the acclaimed Maker Hotel in the Hudson Valley, these richly hued, upcycled leather coasters bring a tailored touch of old-world charm to dad’s bar cart, desk, or den.

Whether he is out East or by the Pacific, this paddle board is a great gift for the man who loves the outdoors and can’t get enough time on the water.

You send him posts about salt intake, cholesterol, and curbing his sugar because his health is always at the forefront of your mind. This Father’s Day, give him something designed to support his energy, sleep quality, and cognitive function: the NAD+ Smart Pen. Convenient, effective, and easy to use, each pen contains up to twenty 50mg doses, or ten 100mg doses.

Here’s a small gesture with outsize impact: a bamboo stretch sleep mask that’s supremely comfortable, breathable, and an indulgence he’d never justify on his own (but we know he will thank you with each night of restful sleep).

This will keep dad’s beard beautifully soft. It’s a fab grooming gift that boasts a clean, non-toxic formula and delicate scents like essential oils of vetiver, orange, and bergamot.

Let’s do a little pulse check. How much dust is left to settle? By now, the Scorpio full moon has done its job and the next question is “Well, now what?” Now we’re back in the building phase. Spring has sprung, and there’s currently space to consider how we want to build and tend our garden. On May 16, the Taurus new moon, our monthly manifestation checkpoint, comes to town. In more practical terms, it’s game plan time. Taurus operates in the material, creating an intricate root system for us to grow a nourishing life. This new moon offers an opportunity to start from scratch, sketching out your dream life and tilling the field so growth can happen.

New moons are our monthly new beginning. And every spring is a reminder that the cold winter is a gift that clears out space for us to build again. The old year fades away to reveal a new, brighter, potentially even stronger harvest (especially if you learned from what did and didn’t work last year, then made the necessary changes). It might feel like your life is imploding or has imploded. In which area of your life does it feel this way, and what are you being called to do about it? Consider this new moon as an opportunity to start from square one, reestablishing the foundation upon which you want to build your life.

Get creative, and think big. What would make you the happiest, most comfortable, and what would it take to create that kind of lasting security? Do you need a raised garden bed? Perhaps you require a little companion planting to help along the new growth. Venus-ruled Taurus new moons give us the chance to put what matters most back into the forefront of our decision-making. You don’t have to limit yourself to growing only what you know has worked in the past; this new moon wants you to explore. Just make sure you can give the whole garden the same amount of love and attention.

Once you’ve accepted that a fresh start is what you need, it’s time to do the prep work. I know, it’s the worst part, actually—but it’s necessary. Tilling the field, although tedious, is what allows the earth beneath you to aerate, promoting growth. Going in with practical plans and all the tools laid out will help you make sure that you aren’t kicking yourself down the line. Hard work and patience are necessary. Taurus is the bull—generally slow-moving, intentional, and not easily pushed around. You will thank yourself later if you commit to the long game.

Ultimately, the Taurus new moon is a fresh, open field for you to build whatever you want upon it. Aries season and the Scorpio full moon may have scorched your life in more places than one, but the Taurus new moon brings you back to what matters the most. Before you go full steam ahead with manifestations or money rituals (don’t be surprised if you feel a strain on your wallet around this time), make sure you are asking only for what you need. Taurus can get a bit indulgent at times, so keep it simple and start with the basics before adding flashy accoutrements. Whether it’s a new job, new relationship, or new sense of self you’ve found, remember that Taurus works in the material world. Think about what resources are at your disposal, and how you can use them.

For extra astro guidance, read for your rising sign below! These are sign specific reflections to help you look a little deeper at your current situation and help you navigate the next phase of life coming after this beautiful Taurus new moon.

Aries

If you’ve been feeling like your life is a little shaky lately, don’t fret—the Taurus new moon sets the groundwork for you to stabilize yourself. The focus should be on resources and values: what you have, what matters to you, and what you need to feel secure. This could look like exploring new jobs, creating a new budget, or simply listing out your nonnegotiables to remind you of your priorities.

Taurus

Taurus, consider this new moon your cosmic birthday! This lunation brings you back to who you are, and ushers in a new lease on life. Even if you don’t feel it, you’ve probably changed a great deal over the past year. Your ideals, your sense of self, your style… so much has shifted! Now is the time to allow all those changes to take a physical form. Spend some time reflecting on how the inner self can be expressed externally. It will help you make this next year a magical one.

Gemini

The Taurus new moon is a rebirth for you, Gemini. This lunation helps stabilize all of the ethereal and untouchable energies that are constantly swirling around you. You might find yourself wanting to slow down and spend more time meditating or taking long walks in nature to help any anxiety settle. What this new moon really wants is for you to commit to a spiritual and creative practice. Find joy in moving slower from time to time.

Cancer

Your community will be the thing to ground you going forward. That said, you might have to make the effort to find a new, wider network to act as your support system. Perhaps this is a good time to join a creative community, or even start volunteering around town. This lunation is reminding you of strength that comes in numbers. What do you need from others, and what can you provide them in return? Let this new moon be your chance to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of collectivism.

Leo

Get ready to start planting the seeds of your legacy, and even exploring a new career path or two. The Taurus new moon is a perfect opportunity for you to check in with yourself and where you are heading. If you realize that there is no more upward mobility, or even that you feel like your current status is a bit rockier than you’d like, use that as a sign to explore something new. The key is not jumping into anything that can’t grow—so make sure whatever you invite in has the longevity to nourish you.

Virgo

Under this new moon, you can expect to start a new journey. Whether that be philosophical, educational, or even a media-related passion project, now is the time to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Still, you’ve got to ask yourself what you are willing to work with for a while. You are starting a long but rewarding journey, so be prepared to commit to something that you are really passionate about. Go big, but be patient with yourself and stay consistent as you progress.

Libra

The Taurus new moon is setting you up for a long and successful future, filled with the support of others. Under this new moon, you’ll feel a push to change the way you share with others. Whether we’re talking about your emotions, finances, or anything else, the Taurus energy here wants you to find common connections that create a safe space for all parties involved. There might even be some good news coming from an outside source that helps you feel like you have a trusted security net in someone other than yourself.

Scorpio

The Taurus new moon is a perfect time for you to find grounding and stable relationships. Whether you need a complete refresh of people in your life, or a moment to touch base and re-establish boundaries, focus on what is needed between you and other parties in order for your connections to feel more secure and less stressful. Be willing to find common ground, however, and make sure that neither you nor others are being forced to compromise on their values in order to get there.

Sagittarius

A slow and steady routine is exactly what this new moon has in store for you. I know, it seems a bit counterintuitive to tell a free spirit like yourself to slow down. However, this could simply look like being more intentional on all your side quests and journeys. No one is telling you to not say yes to a last-minute date, or a night out with the girls, but when you are on an adventure, appreciate the present moment. This Taurus new moon will be great for helping you stay grounded in the now.

Capricorn

Although you are considered to be on the more rational side of the zodiac spectrum, there is a whimsical little creativity in all of us. The Taurus new moon is here to remind you of yours, and how stepping out of logic and into imagination can help build a stable life. It is just another one of the instruments in your toolbox, whether you’re decompressing or self-expressing. What brings you the most joy, and what would you need to do to make that a more consistent part of your life?

Aquarius

This is another significant lunation for you (two in a month!) but the good news is that it is more refreshing than anything. You will probably feel a desire to introspect and spend more time alone, which is good because the Taurus new moon wants you to establish a strong and consistent relationship with your emotions. What would it take for you to build a “sanctuary” of sorts, so when you need to step away from the chaos of the world you are able to find peace of mind in a physical space that helps you process what is weighing on your heart?

Pisces

As a Pisces, it is easy for you to be fluid and imaginative, letting your mind run wild and free. But even the most chaotic rapids are still contained by earth on either side. The universe is here to wake you up to the power of simplicity. This Taurus new moon wants you to start looking at things a bit differently, by isolating all the elements to make them more digestible. Don’t try and juggle everything all at once—take the time to understand everything one by one and then you’ll be able to find peace of mind.

If your boss wears Louboutins, they now have two things in common with Jennifer Lopez. Amidst the press tour for her new Netflix film Office Romance, Lopez has stepped out in an array of looks that nod to workwear and corporate style. Her latest brought a dynamic take to simple office-wear, complete with a glamorous height boost only she could pull off.

In Los Angeles, Lopez stepped out in a set of light gray slacks and an ivory silk blouse. However, this wasn’t your standard office manager’s attire. Her trousers included a triple-waisted silhouette with flowing wide legs, cinched at the top by a reptilian-embossed belt with a large gold buckle. Meanwhile, her button-down shirt featured oversized, padded shoulders and was unbuttoned to form a plunging neckline in a nod to power dressing.

PG/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images/Getty Images

Lopez completed her look with two bold accents that were also core to her high glamour sensibility. A recent adoptee of Schiaparelli under Daniel Roseberry, she carried a small, warm brown top-handled version of the brand’s viral Face bag. Her style included allover reptilian embossments, complete with sculptural gold accents that formed its namesake face. Meanwhile, the star—always one for a sky-high heel—opted for a towering set of Christian Louboutin’s nude Dolly Alta pumps. The round-toed shoe featured thick platform soles and 6.29-inch stiletto heels, originally released as part of the brand’s fall 2023 collection. Though the style certainly soared, Lopez strolled in them with ease—fitting for a musician with a song called “Louboutins.”

The star’s ensemble may not have been up to code for your standard workplace, but her accessories certainly were. Lopez finished her outfit with squared gold post earrings and a matching watch, as well as a small diamond pendant necklace. Her look was complete with a pair of glistening brown Prada Symbole sunglasses, which delivered added drama from their oversized frames and triangle-textured temples.

PG/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images/Getty Images

Though Lopez’s business-ready outfit aligns with her current corporate-themed project, the star’s never shied away from luxe takes on office-wear. In fact, she’s regularly worn ensembles from slouchy suits to skirt suits, statement-making blazers, and classic button-downs and slacks—and occasionally swapped her go-to heels for office-friendly ballet flats. However, even when faced with the recent “quiet luxury” trend, Lopez has still gravitated towards eye-catching accessories and embellishments for a little extra drama.

Of course, Lopez’s business wardrobe is fitting—after all, she is also a businesswoman. Since 2001, the star’s led her production company Nuyorican Productions across numerous film and television ventures. Her latest deal, inked with Netflix in 2021, has found Lopez acting and producing various projects for the streaming service, including Office Romance, the films Mother and Atlas, and her own Super Bowl documentary Halftime. As a true multi-tasker, there’s still more to come from Lopez—including the film Happy Place and an adaptation of Isabella Maldonado’s Cipher. Clearly, this boss is clocked in until further notice.

As Kaia Gerber’s proven on multiple occasions, sleekly minimalist fashion can fit a wide array of dress codes and events. Her latest, courtesy of Alaïa, added a sharp edge to her darker style streak, bringing it an additional dimension.

In Paris, Gerber stepped out for the Snap Inc-sponsored luanch of artist JR’s takeover of the Pont Neuf bridge, stepped out in an ensemble featuring a draped brown jersey skirt and strapless black leather bodice. The piece’s bustier-style top included a row of small, paneled cutouts down its center, bringing the design a sultry touch.

Luc Castel/Getty Images Entertainment/Getty Images

For an effortless complement, Gerber’s sleek attire was paired with a tousled hairstyle and french-tipped pedicure. Her look was complete with a muted rose-pink lip color—an evergreen shade that’s grown popular through recent launches by Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass Cosmetics, bareMinerals, Bobbi Brown, and more.

Gerber finished her ensemble by slipping on a pair of black leather open-toed mules. The style added a streamlined, barely-there base for her outfit from their stiletto heels and thin, subtly curved straps. While matching her outfit’s darker tones, the style was also one that Gerber’s worn before. Earlier this spring, the star stepped out in a similar pair of heels while promoting her upcoming role in FX’s The Shards during the Disney Upfronts in New York City, as well.

TheStewartofNY/WireImage/Getty Images

With its mixed textures and nonchalantly slick cutouts, Gerber’s Alaïa look brought a new addition to her recent fashion repertoire. This year, she’s embraced a darker neutral color palette across an assortment of lacy dresses and crop top sets on the red carpet, hailing from labels including Givenchy and Jacquemus. While off-duty, hints of classic white and blue denim have still shown that Gerber can embrace her carefree California roots, as well—an aesthetic that’s also signature to her supermodel mom Cindy Crawford. As The Shards premiere approaches this fall, Gerber’s sure to have plenty of darkly chic looks in store for the red carpet. How and if they add to her current range, however, remains to be seen.

Drag queens are an undersung staple of the film world, from To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, to The Birdcage and Kinky Boots. But beyond the occasional cameo, those movies aren't led by actual queens. Meanwhile, there's a whole ecosystem of rough-hewn, gnarly films sustained by drag performers that seldom get the same attention. Without the resources or platform of a studio release, films like Die, Mommie, Die! and Hurricane Bianca capture an irrepressible spirit. In their DIY aesthetics, unfiltered scripts, and immediacy, these films come from an unabashedly queer approach to art-making: debauched, whimsical, and entirely of itself.

In honor of the release of RuPaul’s Stop! That! Train!, which stars modern drag icons like Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Latrice Royale, Marty Lauter, and Symone, here are some of the fiercest, most sickening drag movies you haven’t seen (but should):

Die, Mommie, Die! (2003, Mark Rucker)

IMDb

Drag legend Charles Busch already had dozens of plays and the cult classic Psycho Beach Party under his belt by the time he made Die, Mommie, Die!, an affectionate pastiche of midcentury Hollywood melodramas like Hush… Hush, Sweet Charlotte and Mildred Pierce. Busch helped innovate a style of drag that not only sends up leading ladies of the studio era, but plucks their affectations—Crawford’s iciness, Dietrich’s eroticism, Garbo’s cosmopolitanism—and recasts them as power, dropping them into an uncanny present.

What Really Happened to Baby Jane (1963, GGRC)

American Genre Film Archive

Only a few months after the release of Robert Aldrich’s Gothic camp classic Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, the scrappy members of the Gay Girls Riding Club cobbled together their own take on the material, an impressive and fairly faithful adaptation. Minus a big budget, Bette and Joan, and sound, What Really Happened to Baby Jane? lays bare the comic absurdity of Aldrich’s original film. The GGRC, with little more than a camera and friends committed to the bit, made loving tributes and satires of their favorite movies, including an All About Eve parody called All About Alice, and cultivated a community of fans in and around the Los Angeles gay bar scene.

Girls Will Be Girls (2003, Richard Day)

IMDb

Drag performers’ interest in movies about fame, celebrity, and Hollywood reflects both a sincere love of films like Sunset Boulevard and Valley of the Dolls and drag's instinct for exposing the artificiality of persona-crafting. In Girls Will Be Girls, the battle for stardom plays out in frozen dinner commercials, bitchy remarks shot off like shotgun shells by drag icons Evie Harris, Varla Jean Merman, and Coco Peru. Writer/director Richard Day’s script is clever, and the trio of queens’ chemistry makes their shared history on the drag scene clear.

Hurricane Bianca (2016, Matt Kugelman)

PLAYBILL

Before Roy Haylock went on to win the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, he met filmmaker Matt Kugelman, and the two began crowdfunding a movie about a teacher who gets outed and fired by their school, only to return in drag, with a vengeance. Bianca Del Rio’s trademark shadiness and acidic, scorched-earth humor are on display; the queen’s sharp tongue proves an amusingly bracing educational style. The film also features Alan Cumming and Rachel Dratch in supporting roles, with cameos from fellow Drag Race alumna Willam and Shangela, Alyssa Edwards, Joslyn Fox, and, naturally, RuPaul himself.

Malice in Wonderland: The Dolls Movie (2010, Russell Maynor)

IMDb

An unholy cocktail of Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, and Mommie Dearest, this derangement of a film is a terrific example of a certain kind of drag ethos: too much, totally bizarre, thrillingly unhinged, all in the name of subversion and a middle finger to good taste. Led by the Albuquerque drag troupe The Dolls, Malice in Wonderland finds young Alice saddled with Joan Crawford as a monstrous new nanny. Many pills and potions later, Alice encounters the White Rabbit rapping “White Chocolate,” eroticized munchkins and identical twins, and, naturally, wire hangers. The juxtaposition of the low-grade green-screen work, the vibrant picturebook backdrops, and The Dolls’ filthy humor provides a dizzyingly strange and amusing trip down the rabbit hole.

Starrbooty (2007, Mike Ruiz)

IMDb

By the late 1980s, the blaxploitation genre, which had seen the rise of Pam Grier in films like Coffy (1973) and Cleopatra Jones (1973) and had helped Isaac Hayes win an Academy Award for Shaft (1971), had largely petered out. RuPaul Charles, then a queen not yet crowned, made a cheapo trilogy in homage, titled RuPaul Is: Starbooty! Those films are lost to time, but RuPaul revived his karate-fighting, gun-toting persona in 2007 with Starrbooty, filmed on the streets of New York and featuring Candis Cayne, club kid Lahoma Van Zandt, and drag icon Lady Bunny.

Slay (2024, Jem Garrard)

@jemgarrard

In the vampire comedy Slay, Trinity the Tuck, Heidi N Closet, Crystal Method, and Cara Melle go head-to-head with hot bloodsuckers terrorizing a local biker bar, The Bold Buck. This delightful drag makeover of From Dusk Till Dawn, written and directed by Jem Garrard, lets the queens revel in comic action-horror while conveying the strange experience of being an artist on the road, never certain of the destination but hoping to make a buck anyway.

Death Drop Gorgeous (2020, Michael J. Ahern, Christopher Dalpe, and Brandon Perras-Sanchez)

IMDb

In lurid pink and purple, Death Drop Gorgeous gives drag queens their own Mario Bava nightmare. Here, the killer sports a black latex glove with razor-sharp claws, a black body suit, and a round silver face plate, knocking off young queers in Providence one by one. As aging drag queen and bartender Gloria Hole (Michael McAdam) grinds through endless nights and unbearable patrons, the killer sends shockwaves through the community—raising the darker fear that Gloria might be behind the murders herself. Death Drop Gorgeous also sneaks in keen observations about perceived expiration dates in nightlife.

Lypsinka: Toxic Femininity (2024, Chloë Sevigny)

Peter Palladino, Lypsinka

Directed by Chloë Sevigny in mimicked VHS aesthetics, this short follows John Epperson, who has been performing as his alter ego Lypsinka since the 1980s. A regular at Lower Manhattan's Pyramid Club who appeared on Joan Rivers, Epperson’s Lypsinka merged camp excess with uncanny precision of timing and gesture. Sevigny’s film is an undersung study of female celebrity and diva worship across the decades.

Alysa Liu on Life in the Spotlight: "I Actually Don't Want to Be Famous"

12 May 2026 at 12:00
Alysa Liu wears Loewe sweaters and shorts throughout.

On a Monday afternoon in March, Alysa Liu navigated the corridors surrounding the ice rink at Rockefeller Center with her skates anchoring her five-foot-three frame. Tilting her ankles slightly outward, she stomped across the terrazzo floors. In her wake, bystanders broke into spontaneous applause. It was the kind of involuntary reaction reserved for freed political prisoners, first responders, and, as it turned out, a punky-haired sports star who had just become the first American woman to win Olympic figure skating gold in 24 years.

Minutes earlier, an overzealous fan had attempted to ambush Liu in the locker room. The day before, she’d had her first brush with the paparazzi. “Initially, I thought it was funny. And then today it happened again—less funny,” she said. “They were kind of shady. They roasted me.” But just as the 20-year-old sensation had appeared inured to pressure in Milan while racking up a winning score of 226.79, her personal best, Liu was once again largely unfazed by the followers who have now become a feature of her daily life.

“I actually don’t want to be famous,” Liu told me matter-of-factly. Seated on a nondescript sofa in a private office tucked away from curious onlookers, she had changed out of her work uniform and into sweatpants and Uggs. She joked that her mane, dyed in a pattern resembling that of a ring-tailed lemur, had been that way “since birth.” Flashing a smile to reveal her mouth piercing, a small horseshoe-shaped barbell that hangs over her two front teeth, she added: “Unfortunately, the things I like to do are just going to make me famous.”

Indeed, being responsible for one of the most unlikely comebacks in the history of the Winter Games has proven more dizzying than any triple-triple. Since February, she has tasted an edible gold medal made of Lucky Charms with Al Roker on the Today show (a bowl of the cereal’s colorful marshmallows is currently her profile picture on Instagram, where her followers have jumped from a few hundred thousand to more than 8 million since the Olympics); sat front row at Nicolas Ghesquière’s fall/winter 2026 show for Louis Vuitton in Paris, clad in a brown denim jacket and matching baggy jeans; and presented Taylor Swift with the Artist of the Year award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. The New York Times crowned her “the new face of her sport,” adding that her “effervescence intoxicates arenas, wafts through screens, and infects millions of viewers.”

But it goes further than that. More than just a trending figure skater, Liu has emerged as a new kind of pop culture figure entirely: an iconoclast who has won over the worlds of dance, music, fashion, and art by simply being herself. “I just have so many ideas I want to get out there,” she said. “Podium finishes aren’t really part of that.”

Liu is the eldest of five children, raised in Oakland, California, by their single father, Arthur Liu, a lawyer who built his family through anonymous egg donors and surrogacy. He started her at figure skating when she was 5, hoping to make her into a medalist. At 12, Liu became the youngest American to land a triple Axel in international competition; at 13, the youngest U.S. champion in the history of competitive skating; and at 14, the first American in women’s figure skating ever to land a quadruple Lutz.

She participated in the 2022 Olympics, but didn’t win any individual medals; burned out from the athletic grind, she quit at age 16. “Literally, my whole life was just skating and scores. If I fell, life was over. If I took one day off, it was over,” she said. “I was always in fight-or-flight mode when I was a kid.” She spent the next few years hiking Everest base camp; attending UCLA, where she majored in psychology while taking a few film classes; and, crucially, finding her calling outside of competing. At the end of that year, she self-pierced her frenulum.

When she returned to competition, in 2024, she did so entirely on her own terms. “I was like, ‘You tell me to change, I’m quitting again,’ ” she said of the officials who bristled at her feral-kawaii look, a sharp break from the steely status quo set by traditional ice princesses. “Why would I change my hair for you?” That self-assurance has since produced the so-called Alysa Liu Effect, a continuous scroll of videos in which people revisit sports after having quit them.

When a contact in the tournament world suggested Liu listen to Donna Summer’s “MacArthur Park Suite,” something clicked immediately. “I was like: I can dance to this,” she said. An iconic photograph shot during Liu’s Olympic free skate captures her rapturous Biellmann finish, the move in which she reaches back, grabs the blade of her skate, and pulls it overhead until her body forms an almost impossibly elongated teardrop shape while spinning. The image is nearly abstract, the gold costume whirling outward as if worn by an after-dark reveler lost in the music at Studio 54. Never mind that she didn’t know who Donna Summer was. After her performance, the 1978 song hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Digital Song Sales chart. Now Liu’s favorite track is “I Feel Love.”

Liu collaborated on the dresses she wore at the Olympics with the designer Lisa McKinnon. The gold competition look—built around an asymmetrical shoulder cut, drenched in crystals, with a turtleneck-choker silhouette—was conceived to read “very disco, very sparkly, lots of movement,” Liu said. The number registered across the cultural spectrum. Barbra Streisand, who recorded with Summer the 1979 duet “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough),” posted it on her Instagram; Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue featured a gold bathing suit by the Blonds that paid homage to Liu’s free-skating fashion.

For her exhibition program, set to PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson’s “Stateside” (which also skyrocketed to the top of the charts), Liu wore a puff of pinstripes that drew on J-pop theatrics. She improvised the choker from a scrap of fabric. “I love pinstripes, but in crystal, because I’m a figure skater,” Liu said. The buns in her hair were color-coded to match the Olympic rings.

She traces her performance instincts back to her childhood spent studying the masters of compressed, high-impact visual spectacle. “Ever since I was, like, 3 years old, I’ve loved watching music videos by Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, and Britney Spears,” she said. She almost went to school for film, which explains in part why her costumes and choreography have such cinematic flair. On YouTube, her layback spins and open-arm landings rack up views commensurate with those of the tracks they’re performed to. In March, Liu worked with the Oscar-nominated costume designer and stylist Miyako Bellizzi, a fellow Bay Area native, on looks for her post-Olympics New York City press tour.

“I think everything has a little bit of art in it,” she said, gently thrusting her piercing with her tongue as she considered her next leap forward. Still, she added, “someone could teach me how to sew so I can make everything on my own.”

Austin Butler has great timing. The 34-year-old actor arrived in New York City on Wednesday night, just in time to celebrate the Knicks’s Game 4 win with the rest of the town. Perhaps that impressive punctuality is thanks to his timepiece. Butler is an ambassador of the Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling, and is in the city to celebrate the return of the label’s iconic ’90s watch, the Chronomat. But just like anyone else who has set foot on the island of Manhattan (and the surrounding boroughs) over the last few weeks, Butler has Knicks fever, even if he is a California native. “I’ve been going to watch the Knicks since I first moved to New York when I was 20,” he tells W. “This is unreal.”

If Butler makes his way to a courtside seat this series, keep an eye on his wrist, as he will likely be sporting a piece from the new 22-piece Chronomat collection. On Thursday night, the actor hosted a ’90s-themed soirée in honor of the new collection at Breitling’s Madison Avenue store. He arrived to the event in a vintage, Breitling-branded yellow taxi and spent the evening soaking in the throwback atmosphere, where guests snapped pics on Polaroid cameras and enjoyed a playlist of retro hits. Inside the Breitling pay phones made especially for the event, Butler took some time away from the party to discuss his partnership with Breitling, the nostalgia he gets from the relaunched watch, and the one ’90s trend he’s leaving in the past (for now).

Photograph by Tyler Joe

What drew you to Breitling in the first place?

Because of what they stand for. They embrace this sense of adventure—riding motorcycles and flying planes, all those things that are aspirational for me. There’s a rugged nature to Breitling, but also you can find pieces that are elegant.

Do you ride motorcycles and fly planes?

I do ride motorcycles, but flying planes is an aspiration. Eventually we’ll get to the planes.

Are you excited about this reintroduction of the Chronomat?

I feel like this marks an evolution of the Chronomat. I wasn’t a watch expert before [working with Breitling], but then I started learning and I realized the nostalgia this watch has for me. My dad was a big Jerry Seinfeld fan, so seeing him wearing it on Seinfeld or seeing pictures of Bruce Willis wearing it is very cool. But now they’ve made certain updates that really suit me.

Photograph by Tyler Joe

The Chonomat is such a classic ’90s watch, and I feel like there’s definitely some ’90s influence in your style. What is one trend you like to embrace from the decade?

I don’t know if this is ’90s, but I like wearing a long-sleeve shirt under a short-sleeve shirt. That’s a look I really appreciate.

What’s one ’90s trend that should stay in the ’90s?

Parachute pants. Are those from the ’90s? I’m sure some people could pull them off, but I don’t think I’m going to be pulling out a pair of parachute pants myself.

Well, they could be helpful when you get around to flying planes.

You’re right. That’s important to have. In case you need a parachute.

We are almost halfway through 2026—oh, how time flies. And as the seasons change, so do we. The cosmos is closing out a phase of exploration and ideation, urging the stars to help us make the most of our time and energy. The shift from spring to summer means the stars encourage us to think about what seeds we’ve planted and how we plan to grow a bountiful harvest.

All month long, your mind will be fixated on what you need to feel fulfilled. The movement of the planets this month reveals a path back to the heart’s center, and puts a spotlight on what’s necessary to keep your mind at ease and your emotions regulated. Are the flames of your creativity being stoked? Is the work you do evolving into more than just a paycheck? Are the people you surround yourself with draining or invigorating your spirit? Aside from a pesky Mercury retrograde at the end of the month, June promises clear skies, green grass, and the chance to return to yourself.

Here’s what to expect:

On June 1, Mercury enters Cancer. The mind becomes like a crab while Mercury is in Cancer—hard shelled with a soft interior. The claws could come out while you navigate conflict, but behind the sharp pincers is a desire to be seen, heard, and validated in your emotions. There is plenty to learn from these next few weeks about how to blend the head and the heart, especially because on June 29, Mercury stations retrograde in Cancer. That means we will have over two months of the planet of communication, tools, and technology in the sign of home, family, and emotions. What better time than now to dust off your favorite journal and reflect on the ways you can speak clearly about matters of the heart?

On June 13, Venus enters Leo. Your heart will be set ablaze with the planet of passion and creativity in the fierceness of Leo’s domain. Relationships become celebratory. Those who are pack of the pack are given their time to shine, and if someone has an issue with that, they’re existing in the selfish shadow of Leo. Our creative pursuits become a raw expression of childlike joy. Carve out time to indulge and play like a child who isn’t worried about bills to pay, it’ll be healing. And finally, because Venus rules our wallets, err on the side of caution if you’re looking to splurge. Treat yourself, within reason!

On June 14, there’s a new moon in Gemini. The gist of this new moon is making the ideas material. No longer will you talk endlessly about your Nobel prize-winning ideas—no, ma’am, you’re going to make sure you act on them. The beauty is that curiosity won’t kill the cat under this new moon. You have complete permission to explore these ideas, and the freedom to make adjustments as they materialize. This is your last chance to try before you buy—commit to a goal for the next six months. What will you allow yourself to explore?

On June 21, Cancer season arrives. This is a time to reflect on our home lives, family relations, and emotional core. Will the next four weeks be more sensitive? Sure. Will you have moments where the pinchers come out because your softness was taken for weakness? Absolutely. You will also find these weeks are the most important for helping you stand more confidently in what you need to keep your emotions regulated. Today also marks the summer solstice, one of the four major astrological shifts of the year. The sun is in the sky longer than any other day of the year, which symbolizes the light that exists within all of us. Although the days are getting shorter, today is a celebration of everything that makes us whole.

On June 28, Mars enters Gemini. These next two months may feel like the universe is holding a laser pointer and you are a scruffy little kitten doing your best to keep up with all the ways it is darting across the wall. Mars, the planet of action, aggression, and motivation, finds inspiration in every shiny new thing during its tenure in Gemini. Whip out the schedule, prep the task reminders, set timers, and have a to-do list, because you might find yourself sailing into uncharted waters. This is a great time to try new ways of working, just don’t fly off the handle.

On June 29, there’s a full moon in Capricorn. This one might feel like a doozy, because it is also the beginning of Mercury retrograde. Full moons are the culmination points of the lunar cycle, so awareness, energy, and emotions are all heightened. The Capricorn influence over this full moon will feel like a stern but rewarding professor who wants you to succeed. Expect to see more clearly the beauty mark you wish to leave on the face of this world, and what pores need a deep cleansing in order for that beauty mark to be the focus.

On June 30, Jupiter enters Leo. This is the last major planetary shift of the year, and Jupiter is here to heat things up. Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, optimism, and expansion, is the last link to a revolutionary summer of change and empowerment. Jupiter has spent the past year in Cancer, which grew our hearts immensely. Our understanding of what it takes to make a house a home—both IRL and in our souls—is much clearer now. So what will you do about it? Jupiter in Leo takes us from steam engine to solar power. This next year will renew our energy, and fuel our desire to bring joy to the world. Expect the next year to highlight a chapter in your life where you’ll be celebrating individuality, not using it to separate yourself from others.

The next month will influence everyone a bit differently, depending on your rising sign. Below are you monthly rising-sign readings—take what resonates and use that as your reflective guide all month long!

Aries

The majority of the month has you living in the material world, focusing on how you can build secure spaces to not just survive but thrive. All your resources should tie back to your non-negotiables—if not, why are you wasting your precious time and energy? As the month progresses, you might notice your emotions are on the fritz; you could be feeling a bit of frustration at home and with family. Again, this is a reminder to do your part in creating safe spaces. Be honest, but don’t let your needs lead to burned bridges.

Taurus

Taurus, your month is split between finding joy in the everyday and reconnecting with your heart’s center. June will feel buzzy for a while, taking you around town and pulled to new spaces that have a familiar sense of comfort. This will make it easier for you to identify and communicate your needs. As the month moves along, you’ll notice that you’re spending more time at home, and with your inner child. Put in the effort to find spaces for that younger self to play and keep the fire in your heart burning bright.

Gemini

Gemini season is still in full swing during June, which means you can still exist in your love-thyself, main-character energy. That said, you should keep a close eye on your finances this month. The upcoming Mercury retrograde could reveal some frivolousness or a need to revise your approach to financial planning. There could also be a wave of emotions that have you questioning yourself. Rather than beating yourself up, ask yourself, “If I’m to celebrate me, why should I put my energy into things I don’t value or bring me down?”

Cancer

Summer is upon us, which means it is your time to shine! Are you ready to emerge from your cocoon? Are you feeling the itch to reintroduce yourself? June marks a month of releasing anything that keeps you from being you. These next few weeks are your permission slip to to step into the spotlight. Start that personal blog. Get the new wardrobe. Take yourself out on a spa day. Trust and believe, you’ll be grateful if you do—because if you don’t, Mercury retrograde at the end of the month will force your hand to prioritize number one, whether you like it or not.

Leo

June is the last phase of a slow burn building up to a new era of you. You’re shedding the last bit of fear that’s putting a barrier between you and the person you want to become. Your social circles will reveal many answers as to why you might still be reserved. Are you in spaces where you are performing 24/7, or can you be your authentic self, stress-free? Toward the end of the month, you’ll have more conclusive answers on what you need to let go, so you can make space for yourself to grow. Celebrate the good times, but look ahead to a new experience that will teach you so much about who you are.

Virgo

Virgo, June is a reminder that when you work hard, all your wildest dreams can come true. All month long, you’ll continue striving toward those big, lofty goals you’ve set for yourself and finding support within a perfectly curated social circle. You can expect to feel a sense of achievement if you've been sticking to a routine that helps you progress a little bit every day. That said, you are your own worst critic, and you are the only one who whether or not things went to plan. So if you need to reassess your direct, or take a short vacation, don't view it as a failure but just a side quest on this long journey we call life.

Libra

June is going to feel a bit like a work hard, play hard kind of month. You'll feel a rush of excitement earlier in the month as new business projects and opportunities to learn fall into your lap. While you could easily go off to the races with these new endeavors, you might want to consider the big picture and whether or not jumping ship is just a fleeting emotion or something that will course correct some past mishaps. Don't make any big decisions just yet, let this month be a continued exploration of where you want to end up. That way you can still enjoy the summer sun and rooftop festivities with your favorite people, stress free.

Scorpio

June is a month of reconnection. Reconnection to yourself, and your people. There might be some tension, but your task is to get deep, find common ground, and do your part to create a path to resolution. Be patient with yourself and others, the only way to uncover the answers to any issues you might have is to acknowledge the root of the problem. Doing so will help you realize what's still stuck deep in your heart that is preventing you from a full phoenix from the ashes level transformation. As the month progresses, be careful not to run away from any conflict. You can take a step back, but don't bury anything under the rug.

Sagittarius

The question you need to answer this June is who do you want to spend the rest of the summer with? Are there any relationships that feel like they need a bit more nurturing at the moment? Is there a special someone who's caught your eye and putting butterflies in your stomach? The month wants you to share your authentic self, but don't let your free & open nature cause you to flit from one surface level connection to the next. Focus on building lasting connections that allow you to transform the way you hold space for others.

Capricorn

Capricorn, this month could be the month where you realize what you need from your more intimate connections. Focus on your one on one relationships, the ones that uplift you and make you feel like the weight of the world doesn't rest solely on your shoulders. The lesson this month is learning to communicate your needs to those you rely on. It's easy to fly solo, but don't let fear of vulnerability stop you from asking for a helping hand. Don't bottle up any emotions that could help you create a stronger bond with your loved ones, business partners, and friends. The bravest thing you can do this month is be honest about what you need.

Aquarius

June is sure to be a wild ride, Aquarius. The majority of the month will be filled with passionate love affairs, endless hours of hobbies, and a wave of joy to wash away your worries. What excites you to your core? And why would you limit yourself from indulging in that excitement? Sure, moderation is key, but there will be plenty of lessons for you to learn how to find the perfect balance of work and play. So let yourself play, and during your down time make sure you follow up with that to-do list so you don't fall behind on all the summer bucket list plans.

Pisces

Pisces, June is going to heal that inner child, if you take the time to walk hand in hand with them. You might feel a bit of apprehension toward the end of the month, so use the first chunk of June to start building those habits that will support your younger self. This means slowing down, just a bit, to listen to what your body is asking of you. What do you need to feel safe enough to create, to play, to explore? Does it mean you have to refresh your home to make it more like a sanctuary to revive your spirit after a long day? Try new ways to tend to your emotions, and let that inspire you to create a life that your younger self would be so excited to know they're living.
