During her ongoing press tour for Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, Emily Blunt has embraced an array of enchantingly structural designs by Alaïa, Stella McCartney, and more. Her latest romantic look, which also embraces medieval references and luxe glamour, continues to show she’ll always keep you guessing when it comes to fashion.
On the red carpet for the sci-fi film’s official United Kingdom premiere, Blunt fittingly arrived to Rose Court in a blooming Erdem ensemble. From the designer’s fall 2026 collection, her look featured a pale pink crushed silk midi skirt covered in a shadowy black and red rose print. However, its greatest statement came from a structured, heathered white top with a high neckline and flat shoulders, instantly bringing to mind the silhouette of knightly armor. The raw-hemmed piece was geometrically adorned with thin stitching and an assortment of swirling pink, coral, and silver-toned floral crystals, creating an ornamental finish.

Stylist Jessica Paster finished Blunt’s garden-worthy outfit with Mikimoto jewelry—a gleaming gold bangle, huggie earrings, and cocktail ring, each set with small diamonds and adorned with a single white pearl. The actor’s ensemble was complete with sheer tights and a set of pale brown satin sandals, simply finishing her look while allowing its adornments and soft jewel hues to serve as a focal point.

Blunt’s look originally walked the runway as part of Erdem’s fall 2026 show in the Tate Britain in London, which also marked the twentieth anniversary of Erdem Moralioğlu’s namesake label. Taking inspirations from both British artists from the 1800’s and 1900’s, as well as the UK’s ‘90s rave culture, the collection showed a darker side of his sophisticated eveningwear and outerwear—complete, of course, with a rich color palette, smatterings of jewels, and his signature garden’s worth of floral prints.

It’s not quite the Cannes Film Festival unless Bella Hadid makes an appearance. The supermodel’s been a mainstay at the festival for years, and her latest appearances have been a lesson in styling light, breezy summer neutrals with a twist. However, it’s also affirmed her streak of approaching all aesthetics from bohemian to classic glamour with aplomb—and, oftentimes, mixing them together.
This morning, Hadid stepped out at a bustling Hotel Martinez in a sheer, light cream cardigan. The daring boho piece—cleverly layered over a silky bra—included swirls of gleaming beadwork, framed by ruffled trim adorned with thin bows. For a clean base, Hadid paired her knitwear with a set of double-buckled khaki trousers and leopard-print pumps, complemented by rounded tortoiseshell sunglasses and a gleaming gold pendant necklace. A slouchy brown leather Coach messenger bag decorated with prominent bag charm (in actuality a mini-version of Carol Bolt’s The Book of Answers) completed the Y2K-esque look.

Of course, as history has proved, Hadid’s always one to make a statement on the Cannes red carpet. On Sunday, she stepped out in a pale gray satin Prada dress accented with twinkling crystals along its neckline for the festival’s screening of Garance. Paired with stark white pumps and a matching bomber-sleeved cape, her look instantly brought to mind the monochromatic attire worn by stars like Gwyenth Paltrow and Uma Thurman in the ’90s. Gleaming Chopard diamond jewelry delivered added glamour, bringing Hadid’s ensemble a timeless elegance. Her red carpet look also came complete with a radiant glow from Prada Beauty, including the label’s beloved Prada Touch blush.

Beforehand, Hadid was still dabbling in neutrals—albeit with an aughts-influenced air. The star slipped on an Elie Saab look from 2003, featuring white satin trousers and a lace-trimmed white tank top. The romantic piece, covered in sequined pink and white flowers, was paired with its matching scarf for additional aughts glamour. Hadid finished her sun-soaked attire with white pumps and amber stone studs, with a vacation-ready flair from honey-toned Oliver Peoples sunglasses and two stacks of gleaming gold bangles.

Through a combination of vintage references and pieces, Hadid’s latest Cannes appearances have decidedly taken a turn for the nostalgic. Preceded by her arrival in a sporty vintage Prada set, it appears the model’s love of past decades is her key wardrobe theme at this year’s festival. The same ethos can be seen in her own personal style, famed for mixing a range of aesthetics and silhouettes. Though Hadid’s current looks are more light-hearted than her past Cannes attire, they prove that her knack for combining a range of aesthetics will always be in style.

Ever since Dua Lipa confirmed her engagement to Callum Turner last year, there has been one question repeatedly playing on our minds: What will the pop star wear to her nuptials? Lipa is known for turning out looks, whether it’s on stage, for the red carpet, or even just for an Instagram post. So we knew her wedding ensembles would be well-thought-out and noteworthy. Now we finally have (at least partial) clarity, and while it wasn’t exactly what we expected, her choice does place her among an impressive list of brides. It may also have an effect on future brides for years to come.
Lipa said “I do” over the weekend in an ivory set featuring a tailored blazer with gold bijoux buttons and a matching asymmetric skirt custom designed by Schiaparelli’s creative director Daniel Roseberry. What many thought was the hip padding providing structure to the jacket peeking out of Lipa’s hem was actually a sculpted blush bustier trimmed in white lace layered underneath. A Bulgari serpent necklace, white gloves, Louboutin heels, and a custom Stephen Jones hat lined in gold completed the bridal ensemble. It was a gorgeous, sophisticated choice from Lipa, complemented nicely by her now-husband’s blue Ferragamo suit.
Those who know their bridal fashion history took one look at Lipa’s tailored ensemble and immediately saw connections to Bianca Jagger’s own wedding outfit. In 1971, the activist and actress wed Mick Jagger in Saint-Tropez wearing a similar suit. Bianca’s ensemble was courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent and featured the designer’s famous Le Smoking jacket as well as a matching skirt. Like Lipa, Bianca topped things off with a wide-brimmed hat.

In the 55 years since the Jagger wedding, Bianca’s suit has been canonized and copied many times. At the Met Gala last year, Zendaya, Anna Sawai, and Kerry Washington all referenced the ensemble (and Bianca’s general affinity for white suiting). Since then, many a bride has embodied the effortless ease of a wedding suit or similarly rebellious pants. Amal Clooney wore a tailored two-piece Stella McCartney set to her civil ceremony with George in 2014, and Solange Knowles donned a caped Stéphane Rolland jumpsuit to her wedding in 2021. Just last year, Kim Cattrall married audio engineer Russell Thomas just a few miles down the road from Lipa at the Chelsea Old Town Hall in a Dior suit styled by Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Field.

Lipa’s own nuptial on Sunday, May 31, at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London were likely just the civil ceremony. The pair is reportedly still hosting a more extravagant affair in Sicily in the near future. The moment looked straight out of a rom-com, aided by both parties’ high fashion ensembles.
Unlike many stars of her caliber, Lipa isn’t beholden to one fashion house. While we can expect Zendaya to wear Louis Vuitton to her own upcoming nuptials, Lipa’s choice of designer was anyone’s guess. The singer has great relationships with multiple brands. She has been known to be partial to Jacquemus (and attended Simon’s own wedding a few years back), and has recently been spotted out in Kim Shui, Chloé, Gucci, and Balmain. She attended the Chanel spring 2026 haute couture show last year, and was perhaps scouting looks for the wedding’s Sicilian portion from the front row. But for the event on Sunday, it was Roseberry and Schiaparelli who won out.
That also means her choice of bridal suiting was likely very intentional. It could very well have quite the impact on the upcoming crop of brides. The singer is an undoubted fashion influence, so don’t be surprised if you see more and more women ditching ballgowns for suits and veils for floppy hats. Of course, we probably have many more bridal looks incoming from Lipa (possibly some more traditional ones as well), especially if this Italian wedding is to be as elaborate as the tabloids predict. If this first outfit is any indication, we are in for quite a sartorial treat.

As clocks spring forward this weekend, many people groan at the thought of “losing an hour” of sleep. The shift can feel sudden and disorienting, especially for those who treasure their morning routines or rely on consistent sleep patterns. Yet experts say that Daylight Saving Time (DST) should not be seen as a punishment. It is less about losing an hour and more about gaining something far more valuable: sunlight. By focusing on the return of light, DST can be seen as a natural boost to mood, metabolism, and overall resilience.
Light plays a critical role in human health. Our metabolism, mood, and sleep cycles are closely connected to natural rhythms of day and night. Morning light triggers the production of cortisol, a hormone that helps the body wake up and feel alert. Evening light regulates melatonin, guiding the body toward restorative sleep. According to Dr. Ilene Rosen, even a small adjustment, like the one-hour shift in Daylight Saving Time, helps align our circadian rhythms with natural light cycles. This alignment improves alertness, energy, and mood throughout the day.
Scott Blossom, L.Ac., founder of Doctor Blossom and an integrative cognitive health practitioner, notes that exposure to natural light can influence cognitive function and emotional resilience. His approach emphasizes that consistent light cues help support mental clarity, energy, and overall well-being, and that adjusting daily routines to include sunlight can ease the transition when DST begins.
The benefits of sunlight extend beyond physiology. Longer days signal the approach of spring and serve as a tangible sign of renewal. Exposure to natural light increases serotonin, the neurotransmitter linked to happiness and social engagement. Seeing sunlight lingering later in the evening can lift spirits, encourage outdoor activity, promote social connection, and create moments of quiet reflection. In this sense, Daylight Saving Time is not a disruption. It is an invitation to embrace life outdoors and to enjoy the changing seasons.
Adjusting to DST does take a short period of adaptation. Early risers or people with strict schedules may initially feel tired or irritable. Research shows that most people adjust within a few days. Simple practices such as getting sunlight first thing in the morning, taking brief outdoor walks during the day, and keeping consistent sleep schedules help the body recalibrate quickly. By framing the shift as an opportunity to reconnect with nature and reset daily routines, individuals can transform the experience into one of resilience rather than deprivation.
The cultural narrative around DST often focuses on what is lost rather than what is gained. When people hear “spring forward,” they think about an hour less of sleep. Reframing the shift changes the conversation to a more positive perspective. It is a chance to gain an evening of light, extend daylight for exercise, leisure, and social connection, and embrace activities that promote well-being. With each passing day, the sun lingers longer, encouraging outdoor activity and moments of calm reflection. Exposure to light helps regulate mood, reduces symptoms of seasonal affective disorder, and strengthens overall health.
Daylight Saving Time also reminds us that humans are adaptable. Even with minor disruptions, the body is capable of adjusting to environmental cues. In a broader sense, this shift is an exercise in resilience, showing how small changes can harmonize daily life with natural rhythms. By focusing on the benefits, including extra sunlight, longer evenings, improved mood, and new opportunities for activity, DST becomes less of a nuisance and more of a seasonal gift.
This spring, instead of dreading the clock change, embrace it as a herald of light and renewal. The sun is returning, and with it comes a chance to recharge, align with natural rhythms, and enjoy life outdoors. Daylight Saving Time should not be viewed as a thief of sleep. It is a reminder of the power of light, the resilience of the human body, and the joy that comes with longer, brighter days.
