Steven Spielberg Says James Bond Movies ‘Constantly Turned Me Down’ and ‘If They Asked Me Now’ to Direct the Answer Would Be: ‘You Can’t Afford Me’


























It says something when a film enters into an already crowded genre, but doesn't just fit in nicely, it ends up becoming the defining film of that genre. When people think of World War II movies, chances are they'll think of this one, because of the beginning, the middle, and the end. Yep, the whole thing is perfect, it's a masterpiece, and it's a sin if you've never seen it.


Let’s start with the proven facts: Disclosure Day is the most anticipated film of the summer. Its director and screenwriter, Steven Spielberg, revealed details about its plot this week on one of Stephen Colbert’s final shows: he says it tells the story of the theft by officials, “committed to the truth,” of all information held by the government “about UFOs and extraterrestrial visits,” and the system’s desperate attempts to prevent it being revealed.
