From one end of the country to the other, the Cuban people demonstrate, with their signatures, that despite imperialist harassment, they will not relinquish their right to build their own history

Speech delivered by Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, at the ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution, at 23rd and 12th Streets, Plaza de la Revolución municipality, on April 16, 2026, “Year of the Centennial of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz”  

As long as there is one woman or man willing to give their life for the Revolution, we will be victorious!

The theoretical workshop on the historic event, organized by various organizations, concluded this Wednesday at the Fidel Castro Ruz Center with fruitful results  

On April 16, 1961, before a crowd fired up with patriotism that was also bidding farewell to their sons killed in the bombings of Cuban airports the previous day, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz declared the socialist nature of the Revolution

The fact is, our socialism wasn’t imposed. That’s a story repeated by those who can’t stand to see a small, blockaded, and sovereign country deciding its own destiny

The Bay of Pigs workshop, commemorating 65 years since the great victory against imperialism, an event framed within the activities for the anniversary of the epic battle and the centenary of the Commander-in-Chief, began this Tuesday at the Fidel Castro Ruz Center
