Sherlock Holmes’ Greatest Villain Is Getting His Own Crime Series

We seem to get a new Sherlock Holmes every year at this point. He's been reimagined in so many ways it's almost silly at this point, but that's what happens when a character is a century old. However, just because Sherlock gets the spotlight doesn't mean that some of the other characters in the stories don't deserve a go, and someone has finally taken that idea and run with it, because James Moriarty is finally getting a series of his own.

Netflix’s β€˜Peaky Blinders’ Reboot Officially Expands With a β€˜Game of Thrones’ Legend

2026 has been a big year for Peaky Blinders fans, who were ushered back to Birmingham for the final chapter of Tommy Shelby’s story. Earlier this year, Netflix released Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, a sequel film set years after the events of Season 6 that returned stars such as Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby and even Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg. Not long after the global premiere of The Immortal Man, Netflix confirmed that it is actively developing a new Peaky Blinders sequel series, which will be set in 1953, around 10 years after The Immortal Man. The first two names attached to star in the show were Jamie Bell and Charlie Heaton. Bell is taking over the role of Duke Shelby from Barry Keoghan, and Heaton is known for his role in Stranger Things.

Apple TV’s New Sci-Fi Series Is Officially Taking Over the World

Following the massive success of shows such as Severence, Foundation, and Silo, to name just a few, Apple TV's streak of producing excellent sci-fi shows continued this week with a new title. The streamer's latest offering premiered with two episodes and a perfect 100% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. The premiere date coincided with the Season 5 finale of Apple's first-ever sci-fi show, For All Mankind. This is no coincidence, of course, given that the show happens to be a spin-off of For All Mankind. Like the original, it unfolds in an alternate history where the Space Race never ended. This time, audiences will get to experience the political power games from the Soviet perspective.

Prime Video's $300 Million James Bond Replacement Hits Rock Bottom in Streaming Debut

When the management at Prime Video changed some months ago, one of the first orders of business was to halt production on the Citadelspin-offs. Two had already been produced and released as part of an ambitious plan to start a shared universe, a plan that will likely go down in history as one of the biggest swings and misses of the streaming era. The latest Nielsen report for streaming and linear television is in, and things aren't looking good for the "mothership" Citadel series. The latest report tracks viewership in the week of May 4 to May 10, during which The Boys claimed the number two spot behind La Brea with more than 1 billion minutes watched. The Boys had been struggling to compete against HBO Max's The Pittfor the last few weeks, but it seems to have picked up the pace ahead of its finale. Remember, the Nielsen report, especially for streaming, is delayed by roughly a month.

'The Night Agent' Is Officially Fixing One of Its Biggest Mistakes

Netflix has been firing all cylinders this year with big blockbusters featuring A-list stars, and the first to hit the small screen in 2026 was The Rip. The Miami-set crime thriller stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and it came out only a few months before War Machine, the big-budget sci-fi epic starring Alan Ritchson. Following behind War Machine was Apex, the Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton-led blockbuster that scored over 100 million views during its first month on streaming. Netflix has also brought back a few of its biggest TV shows this year, including The Night Agent, the hit series starring Gabriel Basso (A House of Dynamite). Despite declining viewership in all three seasons of The Night Agent, Netflix picked up the show for Season 4, confirming that it will be the final season of the Shawn Ryan-written series.

If You Love 'Bosch,' Netflix's 5-Part Crime Thriller Is Your Next Obsession

Over the last 10 years, few crime franchises have become as popular as Bosch, which is largely due to the overwhelming stardom of Titus Welliver. Welliver first suited up as the LA detective in a handful of seasons in the Prime Video original series that first arrived back in 2014, and only one year after it went off the air in 2021, Welliver returned for a sequel series, Bosch: Legacy. Fans felt Bosch: Legacy had the power to be around for years, but viewers were taken aback when it was revealed that the show would be canceled after three seasons. Bosch fans still have a surplus of content to enjoy, though, including the first spin-off, Ballard, and a new prequel show starring Cameron Monaghan that will focus on Bosch’s younger days.

2 Years Later, Prime Video’s Easy-To-Binge Crime Thriller Keeps Proving Why It Shouldn’t Have Been Cancelled

When it comes to cop dramas, few names carry the same weight as Titus Welliver, who has spent the better part of the last decade playing Harry Bosch. What makes his rise to prominence even more impressive is that most of the world’s most popular police procedurals came from network TV β€” Welliver was one of the first actors to commit to bringing a great cop drama to life on streaming, which he did thanks to Prime Video. Welliver first played Bosch all the way back in 2014, where he starred as the LA-based detective for seven seasons in the show of the same name. Bosch went off the air in 2021, but fans didn’t have to wait long to see Welliver return to the role in Bosch: Legacy, which even saw him team up with one of his arch-rivals.

CBS’ New Crime Phenomenon Is the Perfect Binge for β€˜Fire Country’ Fans

Back in 2022, Fire Country was the hottest new show on television. The CBS drama was an immediate hit, averaging eight million live weekly viewers. That number got even bigger when streaming across Paramount's services was factored in, pushing it past the 10 million mark. The Max Thieriot-led drama was a no-brainer for renewal, consistently securing one with each new season. However, the show has seen a natural decline in viewership over the years, with Season 4 delivering a sharp drop. CBS puts viewership at approximately 6 million.

β€˜The Boys’ Officially Returns in Less Than 2 Weeks

It’s been a roller-coaster of a year for fans of The Boys, who spent the first few months of 2026 on pins and needles waiting for the premiere of the final season. The Boys Season 5 began streaming back in April, and knowing it was the final season, fans went in with high expectations. Opinions vary on the final season of The Boys, but critics agree that the show stuck the landing β€” The Boys Season 5 holds a Certified Fresh 93% from critics on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. The audience-driven Popcornmeter is a bit of a different story, coming to rest at a Rotten 50%. This is partially due to review bombing by those unhappy with Homelander’s (Antony Starr) ending, though it was much higher in the days leading up to the series finale.
