Díaz-Canel asserted that Cuba is not an unusual threat to the United States; there is no valid reason for military aggression against the island

"No aggressor, however powerful, will find surrender in Cuba. They will encounter a people determined to defend sovereignty and independence in every inch of the national territory," Díaz-Canel stated on X

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, led the massive May Day rally at the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Tribune, attended by more than half a million Havana residents, representing the entire island.
