Not only did Maul — Shadow Lord earn a nearly perfect 99% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but it was also renewed for Season 2 before a single episode of Season 1 ever began streaming. Leading star Sam Witwer has already confirmed that work on Season 2 is underway, and that there likely won’t be too long a gap between seasons. Star Wars fans were also treated to the franchise’s first big-screen movie in seven years with The Mandalorian and Grogu.
