Viewers noticed that in footage from the Friday, June 12, episode of the Peacock show, Sincere Rhea and Melanie Moreno were getting up close and personal — as did Zach Georgiou and Kayda Bosse. This came after Corbin Mims and Kenzie Annis appeared to take their relationship to the next level.
Love Island USA viewers had a front row seat to the sexcapades that took place this year in Fiji. While past seasons featured some couples finding ways to share an intimate moment or two, it felt like season 7 set some kind of record with the amount of sexual “journeys” taking place in the communal bedroom.
“We did have a code word [for sex which was] ‘journey’ and it kind of traumatizes me now. When somebody outside is like, ‘Oh, a journey?’ I’m like, ‘How dare you!’ I am clutching my pearls,” Amaya “Papaya” Espinal joked on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in July 2025. “People were having journeys.”
Since there wasn’t room for much privacy, Amaya confirmed that it did get awkward at night, adding, ”I’m like, ‘Can I sleep?’ We already don’t get enough sleep around here and then you hear [sexual noises]. The earplugs [we got] were not plugging? Those were low quality earplugs because we were still able to hear things. Especially if there’s a couple right next to you.”
“It was steamy, all right. We were hot and we were sweating. It really was a great feeling to just have that private and intimate moment,” she gushed. “We actually do want to talk to each other and we love being next to each other. The next morning, we were just sitting and we were just quiet. It was beautiful and silent. I really did feel like I found my best friend where I could yap away or have a quieter moment.”
When asked whether Bryan really did “eat that kitty in The Hideaway,” Amaya coyly replied, “Well he definitely took that advice. We had a great night.”
While Love Island USA viewers know that “journey” is a code word the Islanders use for sex, the term “folded” is another one that has been brought up multiple times last season. Chris Seeley quietly revealed to Bryan that he “folded” the night prior with Huda Mustafa, adding, “I wasn’t going to tell anybody. [But] I couldn’t do it any more. I really tried [to hold out]. I just didn’t want to tell the other boys.”
“I feel like that was just a great step into our physical connection that we probably don’t show in front of everyone else,” he noted. “It definitely made us feel stronger in our physical connection. That is really all I can say about that.”

Justin Hartley is in development on a new TV show while still leading his hit series Tracker, which has been going through its own changes.
Deadline reported that ABC is working on a TV adaptation of Isabella Maldonado‘s novel A Forgotten Kill. Hartley, 49, will executive produce through his overall deal at 20th Television while Diana Son will write and executive produce the project alongside fellow EPs Ken Olin and Maldonado.
A Forgotten Kill, which was released in 2024, is centered on ex–Army Ranger Dani Vega. According to the official synopsis, Dani is “a Nuyorican from the Lower East Side and dauntless FBI agent whose specialty is breaking codes and detecting patterns.”
The description continued: “As part of a task force, Dani is partnered with NYPD Detective Mark Flint. Their clashing styles give them an edge in solving crimes and expose an undeniable chemistry, but Dani is haunted by a secret: a family tragedy in her past that comes back to put her career and life at risk.”
A Forgotten Kill is the second novel in Maldonado’s FBI Special Agent Daniela Vega Series, which follows A Killer’s Game and came before A Killer’s Code.
Hartley will balance A Forgotten Killwith CBS’ hit series Tracker. Based on Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game, Tracker follows Hartley’s Colter around the country as he helps to find missing people and solve mysterious cases. After spending three seasons filming in Vancouver, news broke in May that Tracker was awarded $48 million on $129 million in qualified expenditures, prompting its move.
Tracker is 20th Television’s biggest series to be brought back to California with the help of a tax credit. Before that, Prime Video’s Fallout moved from New York to Los Angeles, while Dan Fogelman’s upcoming NFL drama, The Land, was given a $42.8 million tax credit.

“I’m proud of what we built in Vancouver. I’m also very excited we’re bringing Tracker to L.A.,” Hartley said in a statement at the time. “I’m looking forward to continuing to tell these stories alongside the new, fresh places we’ll be heading to next. Most importantly, I want to thank the fans for showing up for us every step of the way. We couldn’t do this without you.”
TV shows can earn an additional 5 percent tax credit bonus — on top of the 35 percent base credit — for qualified expenditures incurred outside the 30-mile zone that covers the Greater Los Angeles area and surrounding communities, according to Deadline.
Tax credits for relocation are being awarded to shows for their projected outsized economic effect, with jobs being created for Los Angeles-based crews and local businesses being boosted by returning production.
“Location is a huge part of the storytelling on Tracker,” showrunner Elwood Reid told Deadline. “We’re so grateful to the crew and people of Vancouver who made the first three seasons of this hit drama possible, and are simultaneously thrilled to be able to kick off the fourth season of Tracker by filming in Los Angeles, thanks to the tax incentive program that supports bringing production back to California.”
“In terms of tone and character, I don’t think it’ll impact the show at all,” Hartley told The Wrap on Monday, May 25. “Our show is a road show. Our character goes from town to town across the United States of America and meets people from all different walks of life and helps them out. These strangers become kind of his family in a way.”
“To be able to shoot in a different place that gives us different landscapes, we’re able to go to places — New York, D.C., the desert, Texas, the beach,” Hartley noted. “It just opens up our world in terms of landscape, which is such a big character of our show.”
Despite the shift, Hartley expressed gratitude for the show’s time in Canada.
“We built a really great, wonderful show and we did it in Vancouver for the first three years. Just, inevitably, as things go, the show has to evolve,” he added. “We’re not really interested in doing something just for the sake of doing it. I want to push the envelope and I want it to be something different, so we’re excited about it. It’s going to be very good for the show and for the audience.”

Tracy Morgan is sharing the brutal details of the fatal car crash with friends after they were hit by a Walmart truck.
Morgan, 57, sat down with Saturday Night Live’s Marcello Hernández for Variety & CNN’s Actors on Actors episode that was released on Wednesday, June 10. In the conversation, the Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins star recalled getting into an accident with friends Ardie Fuqua and the late James McNair, who was killed in the crash.
Back in 2014, Morgan was riding in a limousine with Fuqua and McNair — who also went by the stage name Jimmy Mack — down the New Jersey Turnpike after finishing up a comedy show.
“We did a show together that night in Delaware, and we got hit. That truck was doing 70 miles per hour with 85,000 pounds of frozen food in the back,” Morgan recalled. “And my friend Jimmy Mack — God bless — his neck was broke so bad his face was on his back.”
The topic of the crash came up after Hernández, 28, mentioned that he was friends with Fuqua, 55, who has been a longtime pal of Morgan. Morgan shared that the standup was one of the passengers in the limo crash and also suffered from serious injuries.
“That’s my guy. He was in the accident with me. He was in a coma for 20 days,” Morgan said of Fuqua. “I was in it for 10 days.”
Hernández replied, “I speak for all of us when I say we are so happy and so blessed that you’re here, man.”
Morgan expressed his gratitude for Hernández’s sentiments and revealed that SNL boss Lorne Michaels reached out to Morgan’s ex-wife, Sabina, to check on his condition after the wreck. (Morgan and Sabrina were high school sweethearts who were married from 1987 to 2009. Sabrina died in 2016 following a battle with cancer.)
“Lorne must have called my ex-wife about a thousand times to see if I was out the coma,” he recalled.
Not only was Morgan placed in a medically induced coma at the time of the incident, but he sustained multiple injuries including a shattered femur, broken nose, a traumatic brain injury and several broken ribs. After Morgan awoke, the comedian underwent months of physical therapy and rehabilitation so he could learn how to walk and talk again.
The truck driver pleaded not guilty to criminal charges. An investigation conducted by the National Transportation Safety Board found that the driver had been on the road for 13 and a half hours. (The legal limit for a truck driver’s work day is 14 hours.)
Morgan ultimately sued Walmart for negligence. The parties settled the lawsuit in 2015 for an undisclosed amount. The Saturday Night Live alum hinted on Wednesday that he got a generous payment.
“You know why we do comedy? Necessity. But once you make it, then you surround yourself with people that need to do this as a necessity. You might not have no bills to pay, because you made it. But they got bills to pay, so they got to be funny,” he said. “I got hit by a Walmart truck, so with the money I got, I don’t need to do this. But I surround myself with people that need to do this and love it.”
Dennis Quaid was once a proud Los Angeles resident, having risen to fame in Hollywood during the late ‘70s, but he’s now glad to be enjoying a new chapter of his life elsewhere.
“[L.A.] used to be such a great town and the ‘90s was nice,” Quaid, 72, told Fox News at CMA Fest on Saturday, June 6. “And then it’s been kind of going downhill and I feel like people pay these taxes for no services is what it gets down to.”

The Parent Trap star revealed that after living in L.A. for decades, he relocated to Nashville in 2020 with his wife, Laura Savoie.
Although the couple made Music City their primary residence, Quaid kept his home in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood, which he was forced to evacuate during the deadly wildfires that ravaged the area in January 2025. (The fires, mainly located in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena, destroyed more than 18,000 structures and killed 31 people.)
That experience cemented Quaid’s dissolution with the City of Angels — although he is hopeful for its future.

“The fire happens and it kind of exposes all those things that go on that should have been taken care of,” Quaid explained on Saturday, referring to the aftermath and how complicated it’s been for families to rebuild. “So people are — people are angry, half angry and they’re half kind of feel like giving up, to tell you the truth.”
The Emmy winner — who has also owned homes in his home state of Texas and Montana over the years — claimed that his frustrations with L.A. in recent years aren’t an anomaly.
“I’m just one of thousands who have left,” Quaid said. “And I don’t know, I hope the town comes back. I really do.”
He added, “It used to be such a fantastic town. It was. It was a great community, too. And something’s happened. People need to be inspired there.”
Quaid, who is also a musician, previously addressed his move from California to Tennessee one year after settling down south.
“So many people are moving out of California because they just don’t make it easy to live there,” the Happy Face alum explained to Franklin Lifestyle magazine in June 2021. “It’s getting harder and harder to build something there.”
Quaid, who married Savoie in June 2020, noted that he’s been traveling to Nashville “over the last five years and “kindling a love affair with the city.”
In time, Quaid realized it was the right fit for him and his family. (Quaid shares son Jack, 34, with ex-wife Meg Ryan, and twins Thomas and Zoe, 18, with ex-wife Kimberly Buffington.)
“I just really like it here. I’m originally from Houston, Texas, and it just reminds me of where I grew up and the people I grew up knowing,” he shared. “In fact, I have several cousins here. My grandfather came to Texas from Tennessee in 1903 in a covered wagon. So we’re moving back now I guess.”

While the islanders are filming nonstop for weeks, viewers are watching daily episodes and casting votes via the app that affect the couples and the fate of the contestants.
Voting for season 8 originally opened on Monday, June 9, but users were met with glitches and a message that read “network error” after opening the Love Island application on their phones.
“Vote tonight to choose which Islanders the new Bombshells — Sol, Jen and Caleb — should couple up with!” read the initial post from the show’s official Instagram account. “Voting opens at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT and closes at 1 a.m. E.T./10 p.m. PT. Voting is open in the U.S. only. Link in our bio.”
After voting closed, Love Island USAposted an update on Instagram addressed the issue, which read, “For those of you experiencing issues registering to vote, we apologize for the inconvenience. Our team is actively working on it. Stay tuned for updates.”

There was another clarification after the app crashed.
“Your overwhelming enthusiasm for America’s first vote caused the app to crash. But don’t worry, we are extending the voting window until 3 pm ET / 12pm PT on Wednesday, June 10!” read the new post.
Before viewers tuned into season 8, Peacock also issued a message to remind the audience to be kind.
“The Villa runs on good vibes, and so does this community. We love seeing your reactions, opinions, and debates, but everyone deserves to feel safe and respected,” read their statement. “This is a space for fun, not negativity – so keep it kind, keep it positive, and remember: this is LOVE Island!”

Prime Video’s Every Year After hinges on a shocking twist — but is the big secret actually related to another love triangle with two brothers?

Prime Video’s Every Year After hinges on a shocking twist — but is the big secret actually related to another love triangle with two brothers?
Based on Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, Every Year After follows Percy (Sadie Soverall), who grew up vacationing in Barry’s Bay and spending all her time with the Florek brothers: Sam (Matt Cornett) and Charlie (Michael Bradway).
Warning: Spoilers below for season 1 of Every Year After.
Years after a heartbreaking split from Sam, the pair reunite, but something is holding Percy back from reconciling their relationship: she had sex with Charlie during a rough patch with Sam. In Fortune’s book, Sam reveals that he already found out about the shocking hookup.
On screen, however, Sam is oblivious to Percy and Charlie’s one-night stand — which this time occurs after an official breakup while Sam is at college —and how it contributes to her cutting things off with him in the past.
Despite Percy having individual connections with both Florek brothers, Fortune addressed the people who compared Every Year After‘s surprise reveal to Prime Video’s other successful book to screen adaptation series The Summer I Turned Pretty, which followed Belly’s (Lola Tung) complicated love triangle with brothers Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Chris Briney).
“It’s not about a person choosing between other people,” Fortune, 42, explained exclusively to Us Weekly of her story. “That’s what a love triangle is, when there is equal kind of tension in the triangle. It’s just not what it is. I think the show is very much about important places and those people and places that stay with us for many, many years. It’s about coming home.”
She continued, “It’s about how we grow and we evolve, but the younger versions of ourselves are always with us. I think it’s very tender.”
Aurora Perrineau, who plays Chantal in the series, also shared her take.
“I think it has the same yearning as The Summer I Turn Pretty, but I think it’s really not a love triangle,” she told Us. “I don’t think it’s a love triangle. I think, also, it’s just a bit more adult, because it’s about adults.”
Perrineau, 31, called Every Year After more of a “conversation of forgiveness” between Percy and Sam.
“I think it’s something that a lot of people — maybe not in the exact scenario have dealt with — but it is that thing of trying to understand how to forgive people and if you can,” she shared. “I think that that’s something that people will attach to.”

Host Ariana Madix has also had to previously issue a message for those Love Island USA viewers who are taking things too far when expressing their frustrations with the show.
“I do want to say something to some of those people who are online,” she said during a June 2025 episode of Aftersun. “Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxxing people.”
“Don’t be going on islanders’ pages and saying rude things. You still have time to delete all of that because the islanders don’t have their phones,” she noted. “So we are giving you a chance because this is a fun, amazing and beautiful show. We should be thanking each one of these islanders every single day for giving us themselves.”

Efron’s design team is using environmentally responsible building materials — largely made from hemp blocks, recycled oyster shells and agricultural waste — and more than 200 sustainable particle boards to construct the six-bedroom, two-story property as well as its internal bricks, mattresses and even bedsheets. All of the bedroom pods will be connected by an outdoor walkway and each has their own rooftop garden.
In December 2025, Efron confirmed to the Australian Financial Review that he purchased a 128-hectare plot in New South Wales in 2020 and is just now starting to develop it.
“I live a pretty fast-paced life and work quite a bit, so in between movies and press tours, my number one goal is always to take time for myself and rest and recharge and to be in nature as much as possible, and as close to the earth as I can, and this land just feels like it’s perfect for that,” Efron explained.
He expressed hopes that the “Futurecave” could become “the coolest house ever built” once the project is complete.
Eforn spent the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia and later returned to the country to film his Netflix travelogue Down to Earth, during which he met Bakker, 51.
Bakker confirmed last November that he had started developing the concept of “Futurecave.”
“It’s not every day of the week that @zacefron asks you to design his home, I am beyond excited! Especially as it will be the first home he has ever owned,” he revealed via Instagram at the time. “Zac fell in love with @futurefoodsystem and then our family home in Monbulk and now wants a home of his own + best of all he wants me to push my ideas as far as they can go!”
The designer described Efron’s sustainable home as a “dream come true” that was “pushing my team creatively.”
“For the past year we’ve experimented with making hemp blocks, replacing concrete with two materials that restore the environment hemp, possibly the best plant on earth at repairing and restoring soil health and of course oysters, natures ultimate ocean restorer,” he shared.
Bakker went on, “We are using the most cutting edge technology (invented by the Romans 2000+ years ago) I want to create a building material that I hope will become mainstream one day — a material that naturally breathes, is anti mould, naturally fire resistant and improves the indoor air Zac will ultimately breathe.”
More recently, he confirmed on May 8 that his team was “excited to get started on Zac’s house” after more than six months of lining up the concepts.
“Although @zacefron kitchen and bathroom joinery will only use only 200 hundred boards (less than 1000 square metres of crop) if we embrace this product we have the potential to help farmers restore soil health in a natural way,” he revealed via Instagram on May 22.
Us Weekly has reached out to Efron’s representatives for comment.
Efron told Variety in December 20243 that he was actively trying to shift focus from work to his personal life.
“I’m thinking about where I want to build a home base and cultivate my life,” he said. “It’s shocking — sometimes you wake up after doing three movies a year, and you’re like, I’ve neglected thinking about my own personal life for this long.”
He continued, “The goal is always the next mission, the next movie, making sure everyone else is very happy. It can be very lonely at times. But the process of taking your emotions head-on, sort of working with them, was a profound moment in my life. And it’s definitely taken me down a different road.”

Carson Rowland’s absence from Sweet Magnolias has sparked backlash from fans, but the actor has been busy working on a new project — and it’s finally been revealed.
Rowland, 28, will have a “recurring role” on NBC’s The Rockford Files, Deadline reported on Thursday, June 11.
While Rowland’s character on the reboot has not been shared, the show was picked up to series by NBC last month.
The Rockford Files initially aired from 1974 to 1980 starring James Garner as former inmate turned private investigator, Jim Rockford.
In the new iteration, David Boreanaz will portray the lead. Felix Solis and Jacki Weaver have also been announced as part of the cast, playing Jim’s best friend, Nitty, and trailer park neighbor Karma, respectively.
According to the logline, the new series follows Jim Rockford after he’s been “newly paroled for a crime he didn’t commit, who returns to work as a private investigator in Los Angeles but finds himself targeted by both police and organized crime.”
While Rowland hasn’t publicly confirmed his part on The Rockford Files, he’s hinted that he’s back to work via social media in recent weeks.

“I’m alive. Promise!” Rowland wrote via Instagram on May 28, sharing a series of photos, including one picture of him on camera shooting something.
In addition to filming The Rockford Files pilot, Rowland recently shot three independent movies, according to Deadline, which have not been released.
The actor’s future on Sweet Magnolias, meanwhile, is still up in the air after his character, Ty, was missing from most of season 4.
His absence was explained by Ty — who is Maddie Townsend’s (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) eldest son — going on tour with bandmate Olivia (Tommi Rose). He even missed girlfriend Annie’s (Anneliese Judge) graduation, which led her to break up with him via text.
When season 5 premiered on June 11, fans were surprised that Ty wasn’t present at all. However, he was on the minds of viewers after Annie received a “miss you” text out of the blue.
Showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson told Deadline this month that the text and missed FaceTime message from Ty could spell a return for Rowland’s character down the line.
“We’ll have to wait and see, won’t we?,” Anderson teased.
She noted that the writers wanted to “give that story emotional weight, stakes, consequences,” for Annie, explaining that “to just pretend that nobody thinks about him, nobody asks about him, and that he’s not thinking about them would have been insincere, I believe.”
Anderson added, “He’s still out there trying to figure out what happens next, she’s still in Serenity trying to figure out what happens next. And again, open doors we hope will lead to new information, different resolutions. Love isn’t cut and dry. You don’t just wake up one morning and say, I don’t love this person anymore, and move on. It takes time.”
Only time will tell if Rowland returned to Sweet Magnolias for season 6, but for now he’s focused on his new projects and life as a father of two.
Carson announced in October 2025 that his wife, Maris Rowland, gave birth to their second baby, a son named Asa. The couple, who tied the knot in 2021, also share 2-year-old daughter Eden.
