As many regulars will know, we've been tweaking Nikki's F150 Lightning to include new features, but we've also heard from plenty of people who worry about tweaking their own EVs.
So today, we're asking a simple question: have you modified your EV in any way?
Stay safe, stay engaged. Please watch our livestream from January.

The ongoing saga of the Ford Charge Station Pro and its propensity to not actually work as planned has been a regular feature on this channel for nearly four years. And while we've been lucky enough to get Nikki's broken FCSP units looked at — and replaced — it's becoming a painful experience for everyone involved.
This week, Nikki has some good news! Her Charge Station Pro is (again) replaced. But this time, she's following some forum advice and working on a theory about why her past units kept failing — and taking steps to try and prevent history repeating itself. And while it's good to have a functioning Home Integration System, Nikki has learned that Ford has pretty much quietly retired the Charge Station Pro and Home Integration System in favour of a backup solution that's less complex — and works with ICE vehicles too.
And if that wasn't enough — during the process of filming next week's video, Vi spotted something alarming on the truck. A crack on the bumper mount, almost certainly from the collision the team suffered in Southern California earlier this year, when an uninsured driver hit their stationary F-150 Lightning. Despite a local repair shop giving the truck a clean bill of health at the time — there most certainly is damage. And now begins the fun of dealing with insurance.
⏱️ Chapter Breakdown:
00:00 - Nikki Talks To Her Cock(erel)
00:25 - Yes, another update.
03:16 - Ford flew someone out to diagnose it, and then to fit it.
04:44 - Was it just overheating? A theory.
09:10 - You may need to re-pair it after an update...
11:20 - Yeah, this is now discontinued
14:03 - A new system from Ford
16:25 - No longer the primary choice
16:58 - Support the channel, maybe, I decided?
17:39 - Yeah... we found a crack
23:48 - Thanks, and Goodbye!

As many scholars will attest, we humans must either learn from the lessons of
history — or be doomed to repeat them. And right here, right now, in 2026, the
U.S. is certainly repeating a well-worn path: engaging in a conflict in the
Middle East that will undoubtedly leave thousands injured or killed, millions
displaced, and any semblance of who is 'right' and who is 'wrong' buried in the
chaos that follows.
And whenever a conflict wages in one of the world's most oil-rich regions, the
knock-on effects are immediate and severe: oil prices go up, entire economies are
threatened, and regardless of who started the war, or why, everyone on the planet
suffers.
As the U.S./Israeli war against Iran enters its third month, oil prices around
the world remain high — and more and more people are considering going electric.
But while history can teach us what not to repeat, it can also show us what to
expect. And while a ceasefire is currently in effect, there appears to be little
urgency — in some quarters, at least — to negotiate a lasting peace deal, return
the Strait of Hormuz to its usual operational state, and stop pushing oil prices
unnecessarily higher.
So today, Nikki is delving back into history to see what happened with EVs the
last time oil prices were severely affected by foreign war — and examining why
this brutal, bloody, and unnecessary conflict could yet end up promoting EV growth
from the ashes.

We've talked a lot lately about the fears that some people have about going electric - and how to overcome them. But as (certainly in the U.S.) automakers are blowing hot and cold on EVs, there's some fears rising among EV owners about what the future looks like for them.
So today, we're checking in to see what your fears are. And perhaps we can work together to solve them?
Stay safe, stay engaged. Please watch our livestream from January.
