A report by People, published on May 11, detailed that Karlaftis, 25, and Harris’ wedding was a three-day celebration staged in Greece that drew 220 guests to Glyfada’s One&Only Aesthesis resort.

Karlaftis, a defensive end for the Chiefs, reflected on his big day while speaking to the outlet after everyone had returned home. “I didn’t know how everyone would blend, bringing our Greek family and friends, and all of our friends from different parts of our lives, together,” the athlete said. “The first night, I had 25 different worlds colliding. We have such cool friends, and the people we invited were just the best; everyone got along, made new friends, and danced together. I couldn’t have asked for a better day and night, honestly.”

The first source added that the wedding will not be a “massive blow-out” and haven’t mailed hard copy invitations to loved ones. Additionally, Us learned that Swift will get ready with her BFFs despite not having any formal bridesmaids. “She has already asked her close girlfriends, like Selena [Gomez] and Gigi [Hadid], to sleep over at her Rhode Island home the night before the wedding.”

Two of Matthew Perry‘s sisters, Caitlin and Madeline Morrison, have claimed the late actor’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, left him “in a hot tub to die.”

According to a Tuesday, May 26, report by People, who obtained victim impact statements filed on Wednesday, May 20, that relate to Perry’s October 2023 death, the sisters placed significant blame on Iwamasa, 60, who served as the actor’s live-in personal assistant. (Iwamasa is one of five people who have pleaded guilty for various charges relating to supplying the Friends star with ketamine, the drug that killed him at age 54.)

After the Department of Justice determined that Iwamasa had injected Perry repeatedly with ketamine, despite him being “without medical training,” Madeline, 37, wrote in her statement that Iwamasa “had injected my brother with a lethal dose of ketamine and left him in a hot tub to die.”

Her statement continued, “It is difficult to put into words the sense of betrayal I felt when I found out what Kenny had done. In many ways, it felt like my brother died all over again. Everything I believed about the day he died—everything Kenny told us—was a lie. The idea that someone my brother considered family could betray him in such an unimaginable way is something I never could have conceived.”

Iwamasa was one of five people who were indicted on federal charges after Perry died as a result of the “acute effects of ketamine” on October 28, 2023. Iwamasa pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death, while Jasveen Sangka, also known as “The Ketamine Queen,” pleaded guilty to three counts of distribution of ketamine, one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury, and one count of using her home for drug distribution.

Mandy Moore has opened up about IVF struggles she experienced before welcoming her third child with husband Taylor Goldsmith.

During the Tuesday, June 2, episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Moore, 42, told host Amanda Hirsch that after she gave birth to sons Gus, 5, and Ozzie, 3, she did one round of in vitro fertilization (IVF) in the hope of freezing her eggs for future use.

“I had the extreme privilege of being able to get pregnant and carry both of my boys … so, I did a round of IVF and it was unsuccessful. We didn’t get any viable eggs, no embryos,” the This Is Us alum said. “So I was like, ‘This just settles that. If this is something that’s meant to be, it will happen naturally, otherwise I am so grateful and so happy with these two guys and our family will be complete.’”

Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman has opened up about caring for her mom, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

“It’s 24-hour care,” Schlapman, 56, told USA Today in an interview published on Saturday, May 30, of the experience she’s undertaken since her 78-year-old mother Barbara’s diagnosis was presented about 20 years ago.

“When she was diagnosed, we didn’t understand what her care would mean,” she continued. “We didn’t know enough about the disease to know where we were headed.”

Schlapman, who works with her family as well as hired help to care for Barbara, recalled the day in 2005 when Barbara’s hand tremor led to a doctor informing her that she may have Parkinson’s disease, a movement disorder of the nervous system that worsens over time according to the Mayo Clinic.

“I love being a mama. I also know what my mama has meant to me in my life. Now I get an opportunity to care for her. That’s incredibly important to me,”  Schlapman said. “I also have a job where people rely on me.”

According to a report by Variety, published on Tuesday, May 26, the show will see curtains fall for good on June 21 when its star, Lea Michele, was already confirmed to be departing the production.

TikTok influencer Gabbie Gonzalez and her father, Francisco Gonzalez, have been arrested over an alleged murder plot against her ex-boyfriend, boy band Why Don’t We’s Jack Avery.

Legal documents filed with Florida’s Seminole County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, May 19, and obtained by Us Weekly, showed that Francisco was arrested earlier that day on charges of “conspiracy to commit murder.”

He was taken into custody following the arrest of Gabbie, 24, in California’s Humboldt County on Friday, May 15, when she was charged with “three criminal charges as part of an alleged conspiracy to kill” Avery, 26, the father of her 7-year-old daughter, per reporting by TMZ.

In the court filing relating to Francisco, a witness alleged that Gabbie told him that a man “had been paid to kill Avery and that Francisco Gonzalez paid approximately $10,000 for the hit.”

Us Weekly has reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department and the L.A. District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigation for comment.

The filing also stated that Avery has been “involved in longstanding custody and visitation litigation” with Gabbie and an investigation “reflects that Francisco Gonzalez became deeply involved in the custody conflict and in efforts to discredit, monitor, and remove Avery” from his granddaughter’s life.

The alleged hit man was also interviewed by police, who claimed that Francisco “sent him money under the guise of web development payments and that there had been no actual web development work.” He also alleged that he communicated with Francisco through “encrypted Signal messages and calls.”

Gabbie’s alleged involvement in the plot was also detailed by the witness who claimed she told him of her father’s plans. The witness alleged in the filing that “Gabriela Gonzalez repeatedly said she wanted Jack Avery dead and discussed hiring a hitman,” claiming further that she and the hit man “discussed using the dark web and paying in Bitcoin,” and that an “intended killing was discussed as occurring in Los Angeles and being made to look like a car accident.”

TMZ reported on Tuesday that in light of his ex’s arrest, Avery is now seeking a court ordered protection from her in addition to “sole legal and physical custody of their daughter.” He filed a temporary restraining order against Gabbie on Tuesday, and the outlet reported that the filing stated his daughter “was staying with a foster family after Gabbie was arrested Friday.”

After Avery was reunited with his child, the documents, per TMZ, stated that he was told his daughter “made comments blaming him for his mom’s arrest” after Gabbie was allegedly “trashing him in front of their kid.”

A press release issued by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday stated, “This was a lengthy investigation that was initiated by the FBI and eventually turned over to our office, resulting in criminal charges being filed today. This is a case where the defendants are accused of going to great lengths to find someone to commit murder. Most fathers raise their children to respect the law, but here we have a dad who allegedly helped his daughter and her boyfriend break the law in the most sinister way imaginable.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt has filed a petition to drop her dad’s last name from her own.

Legal documents filed by Zahara, 21, with the Superior Court of California in April were processed on Friday, June 5. The filing, obtained by Us Weekly, shows that Zahara proposes to change her name to Zahara Jolie, and a legal hearing to discuss the matter will commence in Los Angeles on Monday, September 28.

Us Weekly has reached out to Jolie and Pitt for comment.

“It’s unfortunate when a parent deliberately alienates their children from the other,” a source exclusively tells Us regarding the filing.

Records obtained by Us Weekly show that Mackenzie has faced multiple disciplinary actions while in prison, including for a NSFW video call in 2025 during which she allegedly showed her breasts to a visitor who flashed “a dildo sticking out of her pants twice.”

Other alleged incidents included the 2024 possession of altered clothing and four “nude magazine pictures.”

Tisdale French also recalled a childhood experience of her own that left her feeling far from comfortable about sleepovers. “One time, I was staying over at my best friend’s house at the same time that her older brother had a bunch of friends over. They were probably around 10 years old,” she wrote in the blog. “I thought I’d slept soundly through the night, but the next morning, they all thought it was hilarious that I had gone sleepwalking. I remember feeling really weird and vulnerable about having no memory of that.”

Despite declaring a firm opinion on allowing children to stay overnight at another family’s home, Tisdale French reiterated that she’s determined to help her daughters have fun with friends and has come up with a sleepover alternative. “This is the plan. Some of my friends and I have decided that when our girls are older, we’ll do some group getaways. The moms can get away from the house for a night, bring the kids, and they can have a sleepover in the same space,” she wrote. “Maybe an Airbnb or hotel rooms with a shared door. The kids can have their independence and fun while the parents unwind nearby. That feels different and doable.”

We ask for understanding and privacy as our family navigates this situation.”

On Saturday, May 23, a rep for the family confirmed to NBC News that Kyle died of pneumonia that progressed “into sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications.”

Kyle was also honored during the early stages of Sunday’s Indy 500. “As the drivers exit turn four … on lap 18, we remember Kyle Busch,” an announcer said during the race. The moment was shared via INDYCAR on FOX’s official X account at the time, with the caption, “A tribute to Kyle Busch on Lap 18 of the Indy 500.”

Kyle’s final race was the NASCAR All-Star Race on May 17 at Dover International Speedway. He finished in 17th place. “You never know when the last one is,” he told reporters in the event’s aftermath.
