'Sheriff Country' Star Reveals How She Hid Her Pregnancy in Season 1

Sheriff Country‘s Michele Weaver revealed the lengths she went through to hide her pregnancy on the show.

“You all seem to love seeing clips of me hiding my belly last season … so here you go!! 😂,” Weaver captioned an Instagram video on Wednesday, June 10, of her on set of the hit CBS series. “This is what happens when you film until 38 weeks pregnant!!!”

Weaver, who plays Cassidy, previously took to social media in May to address why she hasn’t been in recent episodes, writing, “People keep asking if I was written off. Nope .. just had to leave to have a baby.”

She continued: “I’m back next week! Don’t miss tonight’s episode! If you think you know what’s going to happen next… trust me.. you don’t.”

Which 'Sheriff Country' Stars Are — And Aren't — Returning for Season 2?

During an April episode of the hit CBS series, Cassidy was finally able to solve her missing sister’s case. That involved Cassidy getting kidnapped by a serial killer who got away with murdering women for years.

While Mickey (Morena Baccarin) saved Cassidy just in time, the deputy asked for some time off. The final scene showed Cassidy and her mother driving off in her car while healing from their loss.

The network previously renewed Sheriff Country for season 2 — with Weaver expected to reprise her role as Cassidy. Sheriff Country also stars Baccarin, Christopher Gorham, Matt Lauria and W. Earl Brown while Amanda Arcuri and Ian Quinlan were promoted to series regulars for the second season.

Concern about Cassidy’s future comes after Sheriff Country‘s predecessor, Fire Country, received backlash when budget cuts led to Billy Burke and Stephanie Arcila‘s exits.

“It’s a fire show. Anyone can go at any time,” showrunner Tia Napolitano told Us Weekly in October 2025. “But in terms of losing people, we’re also adding some really fun guest cast. It’s a revolving door of people from Sharon’s past and new faces that are exciting to bring conflict and secrets and twists and turns.”

Meet the Cast of 'Sheriff Country' Spinoff — Including 'Fire Country' Alums

Napolitano teased how the show will have to balance “really spicing it up” while still walking a “fine line” of paying tribute to the loss.

“What we’ve done is really thread the needle of honoring — especially Vince — because Gabriella is gone, but she’s gone to a happy and successful life. She’s still out there. But we really walk this line of honoring Vince while also finding hope rather quickly,” she noted. “Looking forward, the theme of the season is rising from the ashes and recovery.”

Napolitano continued: “How do you recover from something like this? And we’re really going to see everybody rise to the occasion, in celebration of Vince, of his life and in honoring the sacrifice that he made.”

After speaking with Us, news broke that Napolitano was leaving the show as well. It was announced in March that Eric Guggenheim will be taking over for Napolitano. According to Deadline, Guggenheim is coming on board after previously serving as showrunner of Magnum P.I. and coshowrunner of Hawaii Five-0.

A challenge on Love Island USA was halted after an Islander dramatically walked off.

During the Friday, June 12, episode of the Peacock show, Aftersun hosts Ciara Miller and Tefi Pessoa appeared to help guide the Islanders on their newest challenge. They were tasked to choose which person in the villa matches the positive — and not so positive — prompts.

Sol Dean, specifically, got pie thrown in her face multiple times in response to negative questions including who was breaking girl code. She got visibly emotional — with Ciara sand Tefi stepping in to comfort her.

While the guys made excuses for why they chose Sol, she stepped away before returning to finish the challenge of. She continued to be upset with the larger group for shaming her for exploring a connection despite that being her objective as a Bombshell on Love Island USA.

'Love Island' Season 8: Who Was Eliminated, Left the Villa After Breakups?

Love Island USA follows a group of singles who must pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa. The contestants — referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in a villa under constant video surveillance. They must be coupled up to remain on the show and earn a shot at the $100,000 prize.

While the islanders are filming nonstop for weeks, viewers are watching daily episodes and casting votes that affect the couples and the fate of the contestants.

While the Islanders paired off during Day 1, it didn’t take long for those bonds to shift. There was also the arrival of bombshells, who tempted several Islanders to reconsider their connections.

Before viewers tuned in, Peacock issued a message to remind the audience to be kind.

“The Villa runs on good vibes, and so does this community. We love seeing your reactions, opinions, and debates, but everyone deserves to feel safe and respected,” read their statement. “This is a space for fun, not negativity – so keep it kind, keep it positive, and remember: this is LOVE Island!”

'Love Island USA' Season 8 Couples: Who Is Still Together? Who Broke Up?

Host Ariana Madix has also had to previously issue a message for those Love Island USA viewers who are taking things too far when expressing their frustrations with the show.

“I do want to say something to some of those people who are online,” she said during a June 2025 episode of Aftersun. “Don’t be contacting people’s families. Don’t be doxxing people.”

Ariana questioned the behavior she saw on social media.

“Don’t be going on islanders’ pages and saying rude things. You still have time to delete all of that because the islanders don’t have their phones,” she noted. “So we are giving you a chance because this is a fun, amazing and beautiful show. We should be thanking each one of these islanders every single day for giving us themselves.”

New episodes of Love Island USA are released six days a week — except for Wednesdays — on Peacock.

Justin Hartley is in development on a new TV show while still leading his hit series Tracker, which has been going through its own changes.

Deadline reported that ABC is working on a TV adaptation of Isabella Maldonado‘s novel A Forgotten Kill. Hartley, 49, will executive produce through his overall deal at 20th Television while Diana Son will write and executive produce the project alongside fellow EPs Ken Olin and Maldonado.

A Forgotten Kill, which was released in 2024, is centered on ex–Army Ranger Dani Vega. According to the official synopsis, Dani is “a Nuyorican from the Lower East Side and dauntless FBI agent whose specialty is breaking codes and detecting patterns.”

The description continued: “As part of a task force, Dani is partnered with NYPD Detective Mark Flint. Their clashing styles give them an edge in solving crimes and expose an undeniable chemistry, but Dani is haunted by a secret: a family tragedy in her past that comes back to put her career and life at risk.”

Justin Hartley's 'Tracker' Is Breaking TV Records: Biggest Accomplishments

A Forgotten Kill is the second novel in Maldonado’s FBI Special Agent Daniela Vega Series, which follows A Killer’s Game and came before A Killer’s Code.

Hartley will balance A Forgotten Kill with CBS’ hit series Tracker. Based on Jeffery Deaver’s novel The Never Game, Tracker follows Hartley’s Colter around the country as he helps to find missing people and solve mysterious cases. After spending three seasons filming in Vancouver, news broke in May that Tracker was awarded $48 million on $129 million in qualified expenditures, prompting its move.

Tracker is 20th Television’s biggest series to be brought back to California with the help of a tax credit. Before that, Prime Video’s Fallout moved from New York to Los Angeles, while Dan Fogelman’s upcoming NFL drama, The Land, was given a $42.8 million tax credit.

“I’m proud of what we built in Vancouver. I’m also very excited we’re bringing Tracker to L.A.,” Hartley said in a statement at the time. “I’m looking forward to continuing to tell these stories alongside the new, fresh places we’ll be heading to next. Most importantly, I want to thank the fans for showing up for us every step of the way. We couldn’t do this without you.”

TV shows can earn an additional 5 percent tax credit bonus — on top of the 35 percent base credit — for qualified expenditures incurred outside the 30-mile zone that covers the Greater Los Angeles area and surrounding communities, according to Deadline.

Tax credits for relocation are being awarded to shows for their projected outsized economic effect, with jobs being created for Los Angeles-based crews and local businesses being boosted by returning production.

“Location is a huge part of the storytelling on Tracker,” showrunner Elwood Reid told Deadline. “We’re so grateful to the crew and people of Vancouver who made the first three seasons of this hit drama possible, and are simultaneously thrilled to be able to kick off the fourth season of Tracker by filming in Los Angeles, thanks to the tax incentive program that supports bringing production back to California.”

Harley recently broke his silence on the shakeup.

Why Is 'Tracker' Moving to Los Angeles? $48 Million Tax Credit Explained

“In terms of tone and character, I don’t think it’ll impact the show at all,” Hartley told The Wrap on Monday, May 25. “Our show is a road show. Our character goes from town to town across the United States of America and meets people from all different walks of life and helps them out. These strangers become kind of his family in a way.”

The actor expressed excitement about making the move to Los Angeles.

“To be able to shoot in a different place that gives us different landscapes, we’re able to go to places — New York, D.C., the desert, Texas, the beach,” Hartley noted. “It just opens up our world in terms of landscape, which is such a big character of our show.”

Despite the shift, Hartley expressed gratitude for the show’s time in Canada.

“We built a really great, wonderful show and we did it in Vancouver for the first three years. Just, inevitably, as things go, the show has to evolve,” he added. “We’re not really interested in doing something just for the sake of doing it. I want to push the envelope and I want it to be something different, so we’re excited about it. It’s going to be very good for the show and for the audience.”

Multiple 'Love Island' Couples Perform Sex Acts Before Emotional Elimination

The Love Island USA couples continued to find ways to act on their chemistry by performing sex acts that were caught on the night cameras — before an emotional elimination.

Viewers noticed that in footage from the Friday, June 12, episode of the Peacock show, Sincere Rhea and Melanie Moreno were getting up close and personal — as did Zach Georgiou and Kayda Bosse. This came after Corbin Mims and Kenzie Annis appeared to take their relationship to the next level.

Love Island USA viewers had a front row seat to the sexcapades that took place this year in Fiji. While past seasons featured some couples finding ways to share an intimate moment or two, it felt like season 7 set some kind of record with the amount of sexual “journeys” taking place in the communal bedroom.

“We did have a code word [for sex which was] ‘journey’ and it kind of traumatizes me now. When somebody outside is like, ‘Oh, a journey?’ I’m like, ‘How dare you!’ I am clutching my pearls,” Amaya “Papaya” Espinal joked on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in July 2025. “People were having journeys.”

Did 'Love Island USA' Just Reveal Stars Use a 2nd Secret Code Word for Sex?

Since there wasn’t room for much privacy, Amaya confirmed that it did get awkward at night, adding, ”I’m like, ‘Can I sleep?’ We already don’t get enough sleep around here and then you hear [sexual noises]. The earplugs [we got] were not plugging? Those were low quality earplugs because we were still able to hear things. Especially if there’s a couple right next to you.”

Amaya was also asked about her time in The Hideaway with fellow winner Bryan Arenales. (The pair have since split.)

“It was steamy, all right. We were hot and we were sweating. It really was a great feeling to just have that private and intimate moment,” she gushed. “We actually do want to talk to each other and we love being next to each other. The next morning, we were just sitting and we were just quiet. It was beautiful and silent.
I really did feel like I found my best friend where I could yap away or have a quieter moment.”

When asked whether Bryan really did “eat that kitty in The Hideaway,” Amaya coyly replied, “Well he definitely took that advice. We had a great night.”

‘Love Island USA’ Status Check: Which Couples Are Still Together?

While Love Island USA viewers know that “journey” is a code word the Islanders use for sex, the term “folded” is another one that has been brought up multiple times last season. Chris Seeley quietly revealed to Bryan that he “folded” the night prior with Huda Mustafa, adding, “I wasn’t going to tell anybody. [But] I couldn’t do it any more. I really tried [to hold out]. I just didn’t want to tell the other boys.”

In a confessional, Chris elaborated on how having sex has helped his connection with Huda evolve.

“I feel like that was just a great step into our physical connection that we probably don’t show in front of everyone else,” he noted. “It definitely made us feel stronger in our physical connection. That is really all I can say about that.”

Yellowstone‘s Dutton Ranch spinoff introduced a twist by killing off a surprising character in a gruesome death.

During the Friday, June 12, episode of the hit Paramount+ series, Chet (Hart Denton) was encouraged by Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) to seek revenge for his firing. Chet decided to seek out Joaquin — and even shot him in the hand — before Miguel (Berto Colón) got the chance to take the ranch hand out.

Before his death, Chet worked at 10 Petal and was made a foreman before being demoted and fired by Rip (Cole Hauser).

Yellowstone initially introduced viewers to the Dutton family in 2018. The Paramount Network show came to an end in 2024, expanding its universe with Luke Grimes’ CBS show Marshals and Dutton Ranch, which premiered in May.

What the Cast of Yellowstone's ‘Dutton Ranch’ Spinoff Look Like in Real Life

Dutton Ranch has introduced some new characters played by Annette Bening and Ed Harris. Other newcomers include Courtney, Natalie Alyn Lind, Pablo Raba, J. R. Villarreal — and Marc Menchaca‘s Zachariah.

Earlier this month, Menchaca weighed in on whether the deadly twists on the show had him worried about his character Zachariah’s fate, telling Us, “It’s always a possibility — and I have a pretty good track record of saying bye bye on a show.”

Menchaca poked fun at his bad luck on screen.

“My wife [Lena Headey] made a death reel for me for my birthday this last year. It was about 10 minutes and it didn’t even have all my deaths,” he quipped. “So I was a little bit [worried].”

He continued: “I was like, ‘They may take me out so I better get on everybody’s good side.’ Hopefully it won’t happen but the way things are now, you get these scripts just a little bit before. Then you start going through and you’re like, ‘Is it gonna happen next scene?’ Thankfully it has not [yet].”

Most Heartbreaking TV Deaths of 2026: From 'Grey's Anatomy' to 'Bridgerton'

Filming Dutton Ranch allowed Menchaca to connect with his roots.

“I grew up that life. I just took from ranchers that I worked for,” he shared. “I wanted to be a team roper when I was a kid and it brought my childhood back to me.”

Looking ahead, Menchaca teased what is yet to come, adding, “Obviously there’s going to be tension. It definitely creates tension and we will find out that there are some things about the 10 Petal that are unbecoming of a country boy.”

Love Island USA gives viewers the chance to cast their votes throughout the season — but how does the process work following that network crash?

The contestants — referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in a villa under constant video surveillance. They must be coupled up to remain on the show and earn a shot at the $100,000 prize.

While the islanders are filming nonstop for weeks, viewers are watching daily episodes and casting votes via the app that affect the couples and the fate of the contestants.

Voting for season 8 originally opened on Monday, June 9, but users were met with glitches and a message that read “network error” after opening the Love Island application on their phones.

“Vote tonight to choose which Islanders the new Bombshells — Sol, Jen and Caleb — should couple up with!” read the initial post from the show’s official Instagram account. “Voting opens at 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT and closes at 1 a.m. E.T./10 p.m. PT. After voting closed, Love Island USA posted an update on Instagram addressed the issue, which read, “For those of you experiencing issues registering to vote, we apologize for the inconvenience. Our team is actively working on it. Stay tuned for updates.”

There was another clarification after the app crashed.

“Your overwhelming enthusiasm for America’s first vote caused the app to crash. But don’t worry, we are extending the voting window until 3 pm ET / 12pm PT on Wednesday, June 10!” read the new post.

We are back at the Love Island USA villa — but when (and how often) do new episodes drop?

Season 8 of the Peacock hit debuts Tuesday, June 2, following a group of singles who have to pair off in order to stay in the show’s luxury villa in Fiji. The contestants — who are referred to as Islanders — live in isolation in the villa and are under constant video surveillance.

Hosted by Ariana Madix, Love Island USA requires the group to be coupled up in order to have a chance at receiving the $100,000 prize. While the Islanders are filming nonstop for weeks, viewers are watching daily episodes — and even get to cast votes that affect couples and the fate of the contestants.

Love Island USA releases episodes every day (except for Wednesdays!) at 9 p.m. ET. There is also a new Aftersun special every Saturday to recap what took place in the villa that week.

Before season 8 even premiered on Peacock, the official Love Island USA account released a statement regarding the cast.

“The Villa runs on good vibes, and so does this community,” read a post shared via Instagram. “We love seeing your reactions, opinions, and debates, but everyone deserves to feel safe and respected.”

The statement continued: “This is a space for fun, not negativity — so keep it kind, keep it positive, and remember: this is LOVE Island!”

Love Island USA made headlines again when contestant Vasana Montgomery was removed ahead of the season 8 premiere after resurfaced social media posts showed her using a slur. Both clips were leaked from her private social media, which meant producers weren’t privy to the posts while casting the show.

The shakeup came one year after season 7 faced offscreen issues with Yulissa Escobar, who left days into the experience after clips of her using racial slurs on a podcast circulated online.

What Is Every Year After’s Big Twist? Sibling Love Triangle Drama Explained

13 June 2026 at 00:31

Prime Video’s Every Year After hinges on a shocking twist — but is the big secret actually related to another love triangle with two brothers?

Based on Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, Every Year After follows Percy (Sadie Soverall), who grew up vacationing in Barry’s Bay and spending all her time with the Florek brothers: Sam (Matt Cornett) and Charlie (Michael Bradway).

Warning: Spoilers below for season 1 of Every Year After.

Years after a heartbreaking split from Sam, the pair reunite, but something is holding Percy back from reconciling their relationship: she had sex with Charlie during a rough patch with Sam. In Fortune’s book, Sam reveals that he already found out about the shocking hookup.

What Are the Biggest Book vs TV Changes in ‘Every Year After’?

On screen, however, Sam is oblivious to Percy and Charlie’s one-night stand — which this time occurs after an official breakup while Sam is at college —and how it contributes to her cutting things off with him in the past.

Despite Percy having individual connections with both Florek brothers, Fortune addressed the people who compared Every Year After‘s surprise reveal to Prime Video’s other successful book to screen adaptation series The Summer I Turned Pretty, which followed Belly’s (Lola Tung) complicated love triangle with brothers Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Chris Briney).

“It’s not about a person choosing between other people,” Fortune, 42, explained exclusively to Us Weekly of her story. “That’s what a love triangle is, when there is equal kind of tension in the triangle. It’s just not what it is. I think the show is very much about important places and those people and places that stay with us for many, many years. It’s about coming home.”

She continued, “It’s about how we grow and we evolve, but the younger versions of ourselves are always with us. I think it’s very tender.”

Meet the Star-Studded Cast of Prime Video's ‘Every Year After’

Aurora Perrineau, who plays Chantal in the series, also shared her take.

“I think it has the same yearning as The Summer I Turn Pretty, but I think it’s really not a love triangle,” she told Us. “I don’t think it’s a love triangle. I think, also, it’s just a bit more adult, because it’s about adults.”

Perrineau, 31, called Every Year After more of a “conversation of forgiveness” between Percy and Sam.

“I think it’s something that a lot of people — maybe not in the exact scenario have dealt with — but it is that thing of trying to understand how to forgive people and if you can,” she shared. “I think that that’s something that people will attach to.”

Every Year After is streaming now on Prime Video.
