Britain stole 25 million years of life and labour through slavery in Barbados, according to research by a team of international experts.

Their report concludes that Barbadosโ€™s population of African descent have suffered damages estimated at up to $2tn (ยฃ1.5tn) from 200 years of chattel slavery.

Bills are seeking to change section that opposition says makes Godwin Friday, a dual citizen, ineligible to be PM

The St Vincent and the Grenadines government has delayed a controversial effort to amend a section of the countryโ€™s constitution that the opposition says renders the prime minister ineligible for his position in parliament.

Two bills, among six listed for the parliament session on Tuesday this week, were aimed at clarifying a section of the 1979 constitution governing the citizenship eligibility of members of parliament.
