VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan has pledged unconditional support to actor-politician Vijay's government, aiming to ensure political stability and prevent President's rule in Tamil Nadu. This move, communicated to DMK chief MK Stalin, allows TVK to navigate the state's new coalition landscape. VCK will remain in the DMK-led alliance but will not join the cabinet, prioritizing political credibility over ministerial berths.

With TVK possessing the support of 120 MLAs, Vijay is expected to form the govt soon. The governor is likely to invite Vijay to form the govt. The date for the swearing-in ceremony will be announced officially by the governor.

TVK has got the support of Congress (5 seats), CPI (2) and CPM (2). TVK is likely to cross the magic number of 118 as it is expecting a positive response from the VCK leader, whose party has two MLAs.

Munusamy stated that the media was spreading misinformation suggesting that the AIADMK would extend support to Vijay’s party.

Actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam narrowly missed a majority, losing 12 seats by under 2,000 votes, including one by just 285 votes. Despite these close calls, TVK secured significant victories, with some margins exceeding 60,000 votes, demonstrating a strong debut performance.
