Wild life photographed in parks and nature of southern Germany

A common tern (Sterna hirundo) in Vardø in Finnmark last summer. I have just photographed two of the same species in the bay below our house. I love having them back!

Up there in northern Norway where I photographed this one, Arctic terns (rødnebbterner in Norwegian) are the common ones.

But among them, there was this one. And I didn't have to spend time looking for it, as it was sitting on a boat right outside our hotel ツ

Now I will take a break from birds, as I will celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday tomorrow, and attend a friend’s daughter’s confirmation in two days.
