At the end of 2023, the Koprivnica - Križevci railway line was closed for a week for maintenance and construction of a new track. During this closure of the railway line, we had the opportunity to see detour freight trains with diesel traction via Klošter, Bjelovar towards Zagreb.

Maryhill Stonehenge Monument in Goldendale, WA. Built from 1918-1929 as a memorial to WWI soldiers, this version is a full-scale concrete monument inspired by the famous original in the UK. On the day we were going to come here, we heard on the news that vandals had painted the original. This one features stunning views of Mount Hood and the Columbia River to the south, near the border between Washington and Oregon.
