Siliguri police detained a vehicle owner after his car's registration number was linked to the murder of Suvendu Adhikari's personal assistant. Investigators found the number plate was fake, and the owner had advertised the car for sale online. Meanwhile, a seized motorbike also had a fake number plate and erased chassis number, complicating the hunt for its owner.
