This Bag Trend Will Make You Want To Take A Walk On The Wild Side

Sarah Pidgeon was recently spotted bopping around New York City with my personally most coveted bag of the moment: a maxi leopard-print Chanel flap bag that debuted on the house's Pre-Fall 2026 collection subway station runway. The biggest roadblock between me and that bag, aside from the inevitably hefty price-tag? It's not available to the public and it seems like Sarah Pidgeon is one of the only people blessed to have one in her possession. She's not the only proud owner, though. Back in March, Harry Styles was spotted with the same maxi bag in tow, perfectly elevating his otherwise simple, cool guy ensemble: a black knit, classic jeans, and black loafers.

Leopard print in general, which has always been popular in some way shape or form, was especially prominent on 2026 runways. So these two stars embracing the trend in the form of an amazing rare Chanel bag, along with Jennifer Lawrence recently being spotted carrying a leopard print Gucci bag, has me thinking: do we all need a leopard-print bag? Is the leopard print bag a tried and true way of adding edge and dimension to otherwise simple looks, as well as taking already maximal looks to the next level?

If a Chanel co-sign (and in jumbo form to boot) or Harry Styles spotting isn't enough to sell you on this trend, perhaps the long list of designers also embracing and producing in line with this trend will. Every brand from Givenchy to Miu Miu, Saint Laurent , Alaïa, and Jimmy Choo agree that this is a trend worth capitalizing on, and are doing so in the form of bucket bags, clutches, totes, and every size, shape, and silhouette imaginable.

So, we challenge you this: take a walk on the wild side, or at least take a stroll and peruse our favorite leopard print bags of the moment.
