DSC07605 Peacock Parade Heading off to The Bristol Colonnade

DSC07605 Peacock Parade Heading off to The Bristol Colonnade

Rather than looking to the future, punkers or 'steamers' re-imagine the past. To what might have been if pressure powered technologies had flourished and been perfected. Back to a time when electricity was in its infancy, when women were militant and when respect was deserved through science, engineering and discovery (but no oil refinement or computating machines!) Instead, when coal fires produced steam to move big things like stylized iron and brass machines on land, at sea and in the air, aided by the invention of gravity-defying materials. All this topped off with a bit of Victorian art here and there.

Pictures taken at Portmeirion Village near Porthmadog in Wales, UK. Pictures were taken at a public event where it is assumed to be OK to publish on the internet. Permission was granted by the subjects for all posed photos.
