The anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, inspired by Mike Pondsmith's tabletop RPG Cyberpunk, is a standalone prequel to CD Projekt Red's (CDPR) smash-hit video game, Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR, together with the animators at Studio Trigger, crafts a tragic, bittersweet sci-fi story about pursuing your dream in the most unforgiving city on the planet.

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for the Fire Country Season 4 finale.If something felt off about the Fire Country Season 4 finale, "Try Not To Down," that's because the show did something completely unusual from the norm. It was the first season finale in the show's history that didn’t end with a cliffhanger. In fact, the finale more closely resembles a series finale where everything gets wrapped up. The ending was peculiar, but it generally worked, especially in comparison to Sheriff Country's finale. Now, Fire Country needs to capitalize on the opportunity that its Season 4 finale presents, so the series can completely reinvent itself for the upcoming fifth season.

Sony Pictures has attempted to mimic the MCU model with its own Spider-Man film universe, but things haven't really been as successful, with several poor spin-off movies featuring members of the Spider-Man rogues' gallery. Yet, none of those characters could ever meet or interact with the web-slinger, since a newly revamped version of Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, was a definitive part of the MCU. However, Prime Video's new live-action television series, Spider-Noir, sets up the perfect new direction for Sony's Spider-Man universe.

During Paramount Pictures' 2026 CinemaCon presentation, the studio and distributor announced a sequel to Top Gun: Maverick is now in development, where star Tom Cruise will reunite with longtime franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Top Gun: Maverick was a huge success and became one of the most beloved movies of the decade, so it's not surprising that everyone wants to attempt a third installment. Now that we know we're getting Top Gun 3, it's time for the franchise to take "a ride into the danger zone" and try something that's never been done before — Top Gun 3 needs a proper, genuine villain.

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Sheriff Country Episode 20.Sheriff Country and its sister series, Fire Country, both had hugely contrasting season finales. The Fire Country Season 4 finale had a surprisingly idyllic happy ending with absolutely no cliffhangers. Meanwhile, Sheriff Country did something completely wild and unhinged in its first season finale, "Mexico." Although Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin) took down Alec Kane (Wes Chatham) and arrested her wicked ex-sister-in-law, Miranda Fraley (Kelli O'Hara), another gigantic bombshell dropped in her lap at the end. Eva Santos (Rachel Ticotin), the Deputy Director of the DEA, who was previously investigating Mickey for wrongdoing after arresting her father, Wes Fox (W. Earl Brown), is revealed as Mickey's long-lost, presumably dead, mother, Sarah Bernal Fox. Sheriff Country has taken some wild swings and plot developments before, but this crazy plot twist completely loses the plot for the freshman drama.
