Not all thrillers have to be built against explosions and too much automatic gunfire. This one, mercifully, is built around tense phone calls, sleepless nights and one of the craziest actors of his generation flexing his psycho muscle in an iconic villain role. It’s the kind of slick, adult-skewing ’90s studio thriller that, yes, here comes the cliché, doesn't get made anymore. Which is both tragic and rude. Fortunately for us, this banger is streaming for free this month.
