The screenwriter explains how Meryl Streep (not Disney) was the impetus for the sequel and stands by the way she wrote Adrian Grenier's character in the original: "He's there to remind her that it's a Faust story."
And it brought out a who's who of horror players, among them 'Final Destination: Bloodlines' filmmakers (and 'Gremlins 3' writers) Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky, Drew Hancock ('Companion'), Rob Savage ('The Boogeyman'), Brian Duffield ('Whalefall'), and Akela Cooper ('M3GAN').
