Arts and culture helps foster national unity

At the 11th National Congress of the VFF for the 2026–2031 tenure, taking place from May 11–13, organisations in the literature and arts sector put forward a number of proposals aimed at promoting Vietnamese culture in the new development era.

Ceremony in Brazil honours President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam–Brazil friendship

Addressing a ceremony dedicated to the Vietnamese leader in Rio de Janeiro city on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of his birth (May 19, 1890–2026) and the 37th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Brazil (May 8, 1989–2026), Vietnamese Ambassador to Brazil Bui Van Nghi highlighted that Ho Chi Minh’s forward-thinking vision laid the foundation for friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Vietnam and Brazil more than a century ago.

11th Vietnam Fatherland Front National Congress: Digital transformation an inevitable step

Delegates at the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) for 2026–2031 shared the view that applying artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation is an inevitable step for national development in the coming period.

358 sets of martyrs’ remains recovered between March 15 and May 6

Under the campaign, authorities aim to recover around 7,000 sets of martyrs’ remains, complete sample collection from approximately 232,000 unidentified graves by the second quarter of 2027, and conduct DNA testing on around 18,000 sets of remains.

Vietnamese firms expand global footprint

The Government recently approved the “Go Global” programme for 2026-2030, which identifies the private sector as a key driving force in Vietnam’s international expansion process. It aims to help Vietnamese private enterprises strengthen their overseas presence in a comprehensive, effective and sustainable manner through international investment, business activities and deeper integration into regional and global supply and value chains.

Dong Nai – aspiration to rise in new era

Following its merger and status elevation to Vietnam’s seventh centrally-run city starting April 30, 2026, Dong Nai is entering a pivotal phase to reposition its role and standing within a broader development landscape. More than an administrative upgrade, the move—coupled with strategic projects such as Long Thanh International Airport—is opening new space for the southern locality to make socio-economic breakthroughs, strengthen regional connectivity and reshape its development model toward services, tourism and innovation.
