First and foremost, I extend my sincere congratulations to all of you on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. May Allah Almighty accept your worship, sacrifices, pilgrimage, charity, and all righteous deeds. Respected Afghan brothers, It is a matter of gratitude and praise to Allah Almighty that we celebrate Eid al-Adha while living under the shade of an Islamic government founded upon the sacred principles of Sharia, and while enjoying peace and security. The fundamental purpose of human life is to worship Allah Almighty, strive in obedience to Him, practice religion in daily life, firmly adhere to Islamic injunctions, and live fully in accordance with His divine religion. We must pay serious attention to this noble objective, for it is the path to true success. Under the governance of the Islamic Emirate, the Sharia-based rights of all citizens are safeguarded. No one is permitted to oppress another; injustice is prevented, and the rights of the oppressed are pursued. Through the functioning of Sharia courts, the sacred Islamic Sharia is being implemented. Likewise, the great duty of the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice is actively carried out. In this regard, efforts continue to reform society in accordance with Islamic principles. However, scholars, officials of the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, and those responsible for guidance and preaching must intensify their efforts in educating and advising the people on essential religious matters, particularly concerning prayer and those obligations that are incumbent upon believers. The Islamic Emirate remains committed to ensuring the rights and welfare of orphans, widows, persons with disabilities, and the needy. Wealthy Afghans are also urged not to forget these individuals and to devote proper care and assistance to them. The Islamic Emirate seeks political and economic relations with the entire world, especially with Islamic countries, within the framework of Sharia-based principles, and has fulfilled its responsibilities in this regard. I call upon the officials of the Islamic Emirate to pay close attention to the commands and prohibitions of Allah Almighty within the scope of their responsibilities, to fully discharge their duties in serving the people, ensuring security, and providing public welfare in accordance with Sharia, to keep their doors open to the needs of the people, and to carry out affairs properly and promptly. Likewise, they must refrain from oppressing the people. History shows that whoever commits oppression, regardless of power, is ultimately humiliated by Allah and brought to defeat. I direct the security officials, especially during the days of Eid, to pay full attention to the comfort, service, and safety of the people, and to take all necessary measures for their happiness and tranquility. Similarly, all relevant authorities must pay greater attention to returnees, ensuring further facilitation in land allocation, transportation, and resettlement. Respected Afghan brothers, It is our shared responsibility to protect and preserve our Islamic government founded upon Sharia, for it has been established through the sacred blood of many martyrs and through the immense sacrifices and hardships endured by the mujahideen and sincere Muslims. Let us all unite in sincerity and continue striving for its preservation, standing beside one another as brothers, so that we may thwart the malicious intentions of enemies, appreciate the blessings of security, prosperity, and reconstruction, and strengthen and protect this Sharia-based order with steadfastness. I request all honorable pilgrims who have traveled to the Two Holy Sanctuaries from Afghanistan and around the world to pray for the Islamic Ummah, especially for the oppressed Muslims across the world, so that Allah Almighty may grant them victory over the enemies of Islam and bless them with success in this world and the Hereafter. I also urge all wealthy Afghans, as well as the officials of the Islamic Emirate, to care for returnees and poor families during these blessed days of Eid and to include them in the joy of the celebration. In conclusion, once again I extend my Eid greetings to all faithful and honorable people. May Allah Almighty grant that you always celebrate your Eids in peace, happiness, and security. Peace and mercy of Allah be upon you. His Highness, The Amir al-Mu’minin, Sheikh al-Qur’an wa al-Hadith Hibatullah Akhundzada 7 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH 3 Jawza 1405 SH 24 May 2026
